- I get a lot of feedback from Tesla owners - they want to use Waze. CarPlay. Android. Their own preferred nav software instead of the Tesla system.
Our smartphones are wonderful machines, but to use it in your Tesla you need a place to mount it. I've been looking at phone mounts for a while, and this Jowua foldaway mount is easily the most premium and most flexible solution I have seen.

I have the same set up. Very handy.
That’s very nice. I have a cheap £16 device that does a similar job. Trouble is that it’s stuck onto the back of the display with adhesive, not suction. You get stick on MagSafe rings for your phone case, but after 2 months the rubber is feeling off my phone case.
But this looks nice and also nice to know that the back of the screen is “suction pad friendly”.
I think the Tesla Maps work well as it works out all parts of your trip, where you need to charge and pre conditions the battery. If you just use Waze then you will obviously use theses features. Answer is then to use both maps to get the best of both.
The ability to be able to have your phone easily visible may be useful, but ensure it does not block your view!
The problem in Australia, Tesla is removing Spotify from the Premium Connectivity package - so to get live traffic you need Premium Connectivity but be damned if I'm going to pay Tesla a fee for live traffic (which they get from Google maps anyway) - I'll just use my phone and Waze.
Are the maps not from google maps who own Waze and therefore, surely, it’s just a matter of time before we can get Waze?
Waze is software which Tesla don’t seem interested in allowing
@@justgetatesla I can’t understand why, it’s so much better than the stock system.
@@IanOwens-s8w That's why they don't want to fit it!
Run Waze in the browser. Done that before.
Waze doesn’t tell you when to charge etc. So Tesla have used google data but dont their own thing with it.
The phone mount looks great but at £23 for shipping alone I’m gonna have to look elsewhere!
If it helps, I've found it is listed on Amazon UK for slightly less with next day prime shipping currently £79.
