Ya know, kind of an off comment but if there is one thing I would love to see warframe do, is give us a proper look at the original Orokin capitol. Heck with Wally becoming more important to the story and we know he can show us images I think it could be neat to have a big story quest that throws us back to the original orokin empire, not a corrupted image like Duviri or the destroyed/empty remnants of Lua/the void towers. I would love to see the original council and the executioners in thier glory and the empire before its fall.
Me too. I wished to see that from the moment I learned that Orokin had an empire, and that it was glorius. I would even like to have a quest in such surounding... something that would allow us to go through a day... or a week.. or a month living in such empire, but that would go too much out of Warframe and into RPG space (Which is not bad, but I doubt DE wishes that for Warframe)
My greatest wish for a future quest would be for us to visit the past and take part in the Night of the Naga Drums from various Tennos' perspectives, with it all ending in the final fight we see in the opening Cinematic

It certainly does sound like Kullervo is more of a proto frame, I suspect DE - if they ever expand on his lore - will go with something like Kullervo originally being a Dax soldier who was turned into a warframe as partial punishment for his crimes. As for the thought of a video on Kullervo's mythical inspirations, maybe you could do a series of videos where you dive into the stories/myths that served as inspirations for the frames.
All this lore makes me want Warframe's next really big lore expansion to be where we somehow are able to re-live the events of the Old War. I want to see the Orokin Empire at its peak, or at least its peak during the Old War. Its a great way to expand upon exactly what was the tipping point, that caused virtually all Tenno to rise up and go full Exterminatus upon the Orokin. My understanding was that we Tenno were either manipulated or flat out mind controlled to slaughter all Orokin on sight, when the Old War ended; As some kind of one last Sentient fuck you to the Orokin, by turning their greatest weapons against them. But with Kullervo's lore, where he supposedly was poisoning the minds of the Tenno against the Orokin (like that's particularly difficult) implying that we WILLINGLY exterminated the Orokin, dooming the Origin System to utter chaos, and collapse.
yoooo, imagine if Kullervo prime is the version of him that was still obsessed with Ballas' approval, like, if you enter a mission and you have a relic that has one of his parts, he could appear and try to kill the tenno like how the stalkers do it. and if you kill him, same thing, a chance you might get one of his parts corresponding to the relic.
I don't know exactly how this would fit lore-wise (if there even is any lore to conflict), but I think an interesting potential 'proto-warframe' if they decided to expand in that route would be an infested necramech. It'd be an interesting idea to show the failures of the project and how it manifested in some half-sentient (as in aware not the sentients) but half bound by machinery psuedo-proto-warframe. Maybe the corn in the middle could've expanded to a kind of warframe itself and the rest of the necramech would simply be armour, and to represent the failed and tormented state you could choose between better warframe oriented skills in the main frame but a basically non-existent health pool or clunky movement and basic abilities but superior defence. How they would implement that I don't know but there's definitely lots of room to work with the concept.
so this means we have (proto-)warframe that is acting on it's own behalve like umbra was.. without tenno control... really cool that we get a second warframe that is not just a tool

I think it's important to take Kullervo's tale with a MASSIVE, GIGANTIC grain of salt, since Ballas is the one telling it. Y'know what I think? Kullervo was a scapegoat for Ballas' own crimes. I don't think he killed those orokin, or even his mother for that matter, I think Ballas is the one who orchestrated their deaths and placed the blame on Kullervo. A little theory of mine is that Kullervo's mother was one of the people Ballas wanted to get rid of, and he decided to go after her family first, that would be pretty typical of him, don't you think? To me, the guilt in Kullervo stems not from his crimes, but from his failures. His failure to help his fellow proto-frames, his failure to keep his mother safe, his failure to put down the lying snake who ruined his life and so many others. Kullervo is such an interesting character to me, because as far as I'm aware he's one of the few frames out there who mantained their sanity and personality (at least to some extent?), and not only that, he's still alive! I wish we could free him for good and get him out of duviri, and not just by building him in our foundry, y'know? I hope DE does more with him in the future, because it would feel like a waste to give him so much character (compared to some other frames at least) and then not expand on it even a little.
I really need a Explanation in the Warframe Part of the Lore, as in all the Quest Storys of the Warframe, Limbo, Titania, etc. or Valkyr, Rhinoo. When mentioned in they're Quests Trailers are they already controlled by the tenno... were those Storys before the tenno, so they were sentient but now they arent ...? Yea, umbra was created during the end of the war, sometime before the Sentient attack on the Lua's Reservoirs, as the creation of Umbra was a punishment on Dax for discovering the treason of Ballas on his own kind by telling the location of the Tenno
@@Okabe_Rintaro thats HORRIBLY incorrect, Umbra existed AFTER proto frames because Umbra had a transference bolt in him but kept his free will because Ballas was torturing him The Proto frames were effectively flesh golems with no real way to control them unless they were either loyal or effectively brain dead, and essentially psychosis was the usual outcome creating things like the Proto Rhino who was literally eating people like a wild beast. Also Umbra is called Umbra because of his containment on the moon or because thats just where he was kept for all eternity to keep reliving the same horrible memory over and over and over, its also related to the Tenno's own resting grounds because Lua is where the tenno also rested in their transference pods after the massacaring of the Orokin, to try and forget the painful memories of war and violence, something Umbra is also trying to forget, something we, who have moved past their trauma and pain, can now help Umbra do the same and be better.
So this is my only question and maybe I just wasn’t paying close enough attention in the beginning, but did Ballas set this whole thing in motion essentially entrapping kullveros or was this something he did of his own volition and then backed himself into a corner digging a deeper hole of his own sins? Cause if Ballas set him up then kullveros’ cause was just, but otherwise it’s just a tragedy.
Since this is all being told by ballas, IMO this is all bs and Kullervo is innocent. Maybe 1 or 2 crimes might be committed by him after getting captured and finding out that ballas got rid of his mother but the rest. I don't buy it.
9:44 My headcannon is that Kullervo is an Ordan Karris turned Warframe rather than Cephalon. With no operator to tie a guilty Beast of Bones to, Ballas turned him into a warframe instead as a form of attonement for his crimes. As a Cephalon, Ordan Karris was torn apart from who he once was; and Kullervo as we see, is also fragmented.
Id love that and it would be cool, but ordan karris didn't turn on the orokin until the very end, there was no espionage, treason, or flight from custody.
I'm going to continue making more of these types of videos in between Warframe Updates. But also Expanding them into other games.

Put me in for 20 on Mythical Potato.

Since this is all being told by ballas, IMO this is all bs and Kullervo is innocent. Maybe 1 or 2 crimes might be committed by him after getting captured and finding out that ballas got rid of his mother but the rest. I don't buy it.
Pov you have a finnish warframe😂😂

My headcannon is that Kullervo is an Ordan Karris turned Warframe rather than Cephalon.
@@TacticalPotato that we know of! Superb video and I for one would love some mythology summary or parallels, like Wukong's depiction for example.
6:09 Thank You Kullervo.
he was once a slave.....and it black and field....
