I loved this dog food in the beginning, then my dog got really sick, paid thousands of dollars, couldn't figure out what was wrong. One vet lady argued with me because I wouldn't do the humane thing & put my 3 year yorkie to sleep. I said let me stop this farmers dog food. Once i stopped my dog was better than new in 2 months. I couldn't figure the dog food out because i have 2 other dogs and they were fine. It's something in that food, just pray no one else goes thru this & actually put their dog to sleep
I ordered a trial two week deal and it was like $80 but I just can't see paying 180 something every few weeks which is what it costs after your first two weeks!
Just know that you can cook for your dogs. There are many real food dog recipes for your pup. Add a multi vitamin and you will have done good. It's a little work but, it's worth it
Also, if you do buy the farmers dog, make sure you aren't stupid like me, I just switched him from dry food to TFD, and he SWALLOWED it first 2-3 days, then he wouldn't eat it and stomach issues for a bit... now I am mixing half a bag of farmers dog with his dry food and he loves it
In the short time I have been feeding this food to my Boston Terrier it's been a game changer. No vet could diagnose her skin problems. Now I know all dry kibble is poison. I will never feed kibble again. This food proved all my Boston needed was real food. The before and after pictures of my Boston blow my mind.
Thank you so much! I have FD and wasn’t sure about ingredients because a guy at doggy park said it was mostly egg which is why the yellow color, but that isn’t accurate.
Have you tried Open Farms dog food? I ordered the gently cooked puppy food , because I saw an article , that was put out by vets telling what was the best fresh food for Maltese puppies, who can be picky and have food allergies. My 10 week old puppy loves it , and the ingredient list is impressive. It’s hard to find any reviews on this food. They sell it by 8 ($100)pound or 16 pound ($160) boxes. I was told if my dog wouldn’t or couldn’t eat it, I would get a refund or replacement without returning the food I had. I would love to see it compared with farmer Dog.I know that the open farm food was $10 a pound if you bought 16 pounds at once. I also found a 15% off coupon, so I only paid $135, for the16 pounds I got.
It seems most people have never heard of it. So it’s hard to find reviews. One of the big differences in this food is that the puppy food is a combination of all different proteins and fruits and vegetables. It has chicken , pork and salmon and chicken liver ,in just this mixture. Plus they offer several different protein choices for the moist adult dog food. Plus besides it being human grade and humanly treated animals used, they tell you where each of those animals came from, right down to the farm. Not that that matters to everyone,it does to some people. But the list of healthy ingredients, is amazing, and to long to list here. I’m just really surprised more people don’t know about it. I was thinking if possibly considering changing to a slightly less expensive Farmer dogs food, but I can’t even see that the Farmer dogs compares with what is put into the food I’m giving her already. I appreciate you sharing the details like the weight and price per pound of the packages, as Farmer dogs won’t even tell you what you are paying per pound. Or let you see the ingredients before you get into the process of buying it. The Open Farms is just that, very open and transparent about everything to do with this food , the ingredients , where they come from and what you are paying for what you get. And you can just order it as you need it, or save more money by getting on auto delivery. I’m thankful for your review where you tell the important information that the company won’t tell. And you are brave eating the food yourself, but that shows how much you actually care about your dogs. Thanks for your help.

You’re very welcome! Not sure how much egg is in there, but there is definitely quite a bit of the other ingredients as well.
I hope they give you a discount, nice pitch.

LOL bro you’re awesome!
You rock!
Great vid man
Thank you!
Where is the dog ?
I am new in this brother , I have a yorki and I give to her taste of wild , do you think this kind of food is better?
A vet will always know best for your dog. We can only vouch for the taste, which is great in the case of The Farmer’s Dog.
Which tastes better TFD or taste of the wild salmon blend??
Oof, haven’t tried taste of the wild so I can’t say. But I imagine salmon prepared that way would be ruff.
Okay this guy had to be paid by farmers dog for this review or received some kind of kickback.
If you sign up for The Farmer's Dog through our link we're eligible for a commission at no cost to you. But that's all.
