@@retropcdurham Tried to but the board that it was on was a lower end msi oem MB which did have a good selection of overclocking settings but I dont think the boards vrm was beafy or cooled enough to handle over stock speeds.
EYY, I was actually thinkin of you when I put this system together! I wasn't able to get the 4th core unlocked on this and was very wary with the PSU about stressing it with overclocking as well.
@@retropcdurham yea I get that about the PSU, I would be a little wary as well. Of course you set your PC's up for different reasons too and need them to be reliable and durable. I tend to push them a ways, then stick em in a closet or something lol
I used to use the phenom a few versions up in the chain the 8600b/8650 it was a decent performer for basic use and some older gaming
