Piotrek, this is very impressive!!! I looked your movie several times! As a solo tour you have my double respect!!!!
I came to you, because I intend to buy a HV Sea Lion- the boat seems to endure rough water, in spite I know, it.s the paddler, who does the work!! I read the text very carefully and have my problems, to understand clapotis, holes, canyons or underwater anomalies on behalf of the paddlers issues. That is new for me, as well I just start to get a misty idea of streaming and "exploding waves".
From 30 years of WW paddling know, that there can be totally different currents in one river. I love your movie here!!! And: That song is gorgeous for this scenery!!!
BTW: Can you tell me, why you carry the wheels of the boat wagon on top of the bug, is there a special reason? Did you need the room inside for more important luggage?
I.m really flashed, KR Henry 🙄😯👋👋👋

Thanks a lot for your comment, it was a pleasure to read it. Yes, one thing is I set out for weeks without any support so my kayak is “full” - no place for the wheels inside. The other thing is that the access is easier and faster. 👍👍👍👍👍

Hi Piotrek, Thx again for YOUR comment! I just look for much more lighter and less bulky boat wagon wheels. I have childrens car wheels, rollator (for elder people) etc. in mind, to minimize weight and size. My most important questions:
      1. How often/ did you really need the boat wagon?
      2. Did the big wheels in front make problems for balancing in rough water or in case of capsize?
I will try out your method next season, maybe to have one wheel in front and one behind.
Your movie is really a mental inspiration for me, even for less dangerous parts of the waters in the world, but you give me courage and the sense to train (even with 70), to fulfil natural adventures when becoming older!!
Just to go for fun to Norway or GB/islands is nearly not doable!! So, I look at not so remote seakayk areas.
      KR Henry

@@henrygerwien186 The wheels are very light so there is no problem with their weight. I am also surprised how durable they are - a lot of expeditions and working/fighting with my kayak (fully loaded with stuff for weeks) while pulling it up onto a safe place sometime tens of meters over a rough ground - sand, pebbles and rocks - that’s really hard and tough. And for so many years I haven’t had to exchange even one tube! No problem with its stability - even they add buoyancy - eskimo roles - no problem.
Mind that the smaller the wheels are the less efficient they are on a difficult ground. Some 20 years ago I tried small wheels - threw them away - didn’t work on big stones like 20-25 centimeters so if you need to pull your kayak on difficult ground I do not recommend smaller wheels.

@@piotrekaventurero6774 Yes, piotrek, I see your experience in the lines. I forgot totally the buoyancy idea of the wheels! I just tried to build wheels from a childs wagon. Yes, they're pretty light, but after a few meters on the garage tarmac they went down - with an empty boat!! So I'll try out your method in spring - the German coaches will shout and ban me, for sure!
So, let me learn more from you: How do you manage on the sea/tour/water, when you have... let.s call it "natural needs"? I even don.t want to dream of a 'warm' dry suit, god forsake! Or if the last dinner wants to get 'renaturalized'?
Have a good time until our next tutorial! 🤣🤪 KR Henry

@@henrygerwien186 I have „emergency landing points” checked and marked on my way. If there is a long paddle to do without any “emergency landing point” I drink very little the evening before and the morning before setting out. That is a problem I have to admit. On a rough sea there is no way to do it “to the bottle”.

Many years ago, when I started kayaking, I wanted to see a view like this. I remembered it now, thank you. I have one question. Are the dolly tires on the bow a measure against tailing waves?

These are wheels for a cart. You need one if you paddle solo.

Look at the 15th picture - 32sec of the video - you can see that my kayak is on a cart - to get out of water/out of tidal zone etc.
