- With the nerves of first practice over we rejoin Dave Hewson, Martin Morris, Rick Kay and Stuart Clotworthy as they build up their speeds around the famous Isle of Man mountain course.
But it's not all smooth sailing as the toughest race track in the world starts to claim it's mechanical victims.
Who's broken what? and are the boys still having fun?
Many thanks to the IOM government for allowing us to use some onboard footage for this video.

I'm glad you got your ice cream. I was concerned you might not get your ice cream quota in. Keep up the good work.
On board cams were incredible!!
Realness. Thanks Dave.
Thanks for the 5 seconds of fame in the vid Dave. Great to meet you and the team (on several occaisions) during the week. Hope the Mexico trip goes well.
Keep up the good work.
Regards Pete & Steve
Nice to meet you boys... Repeatedly 😂
Cheers Pete,
Well done Dave, from another Dave in really quite nice sunny Norfolk 🇬🇧
fantastic mate. cheers!
And tonight…..Photobombed by Milky…….👍💪🇮🇲
I crashed in a race on Sunday, and I fractured my neck, and broke ribs. Feeling pretty sorry for myself, your vlogs cheer me up a little. Thanks

Hope you get well soon... But until then watch all the old vids 😁

Sorry to hear that bro, but I would suggest keep riding and take up some mma/bjj , the mental focus will transfer to everyday riding and the mental benefits it gives u in day to day life will be outstanding. Hole u get better onwards to ur journey mate
Thanks for sharing all the background stuff. This is brilliant. Keep up the good work and fingers crossed the 250 will come back to life. Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
If you see a mountain biker watching you next year, it's me, see you next year!
Fantastic grass roots stuff…so admire your dedication! Thanks for sharing it. As a biker in health and safety mad Britain, it’s refreshing to see.
Looks like you've completely nailed the best places to break down! Great vlogs again, really enjoy these.
That was great Dave! Thank-you for taking us along on the journey 👍
Hi, thanks for your time and effort to film and edit all this when being busy racing and preparing. Followed your channel for the past year. Can you do an episode about the costs for a race or weekend. Wearing parts, travel, fuel etc..? THX
that's was nice to meet you ;) see you next year (the bike rear break) french guy ;)
Nice to meet you too and yes, see you next year
Amazing footage
Great content. Martin was going superb in the race, looking good.
My hero, Dave!
Love ur videos dave !
Really enjoying these vids. Keep them coming. Thank you.
Best of luck Dave...hopefully hear that 250 singing...🤘
Thanks Dave. Love the Manx vids. Looking forward to the next one.
So lucky you didn't seize the TZ, but on the flip-side, broke another Priller, but on _that_ flip-side, got custard donuts. Is that why you _really_ do it, Dave? The free sweet baked goods? 🤣
Also where was Adam on his NC35? That would have been wicked fun on the mountain.
Seriously though, I was moved by your end-piece, about having 45 miles of wonderful road all to yourself, that's what dreams are made of. Brilliant.
No room in the van for the rvf!
And it's true, I do like a cake
Loving the vlog and all the technical stuff thoroughly enjoyable and addictive, it must be its 4am and I’ve just watched it and looking forward to part 3… Ride hard stay safe and enjoy 🏍💨✊
Brilliant vid as always, get the impression there’s a great atmosphere and buzz in the tent.
You seem a lot happier and more relaxed than the TT.
Can’t wait for race day vids. 💪
Watched you working on a belly pan in the pits last week so I thought you didn’t need to be told how much I enjoy listening to you. Started with you working on the SP1. Thinking about trying the Rapid Training, but after watching you through Ramsey and the Goose Neck I think after 49 years riding on the road it may be a little too much for me. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for swinging by and with the training it's very much for any level of road riding, but we don't usually ride quite that fast 😁
@@obsession_engineering Was it Martins belly pan?
@@bananabrooks3836 Belly planning
Loved my ice cream at TT, that’s where I met Hollyoaks!
I love it
16:26 where's MD going in a hurry 😂
Is it back to calling it the Manx GP again or is it the classic TT ?
Yes, all Manx gp again now
Dear Dave AND your team
what is about oil/gearbox oil viskosität ?
and do you take inform about Beringer Break's (systems) ;any experiances?
all in all "what we can see/hear at this video" we know and this are steps which should be done 😊
i was surprised by 8 surfaces (break discs) at a ~230mm diameter for front wheels ...but nothing to read about the stearing-angle combine to the frame or due to the frame ...
I know of beringer, but they're not used much in the UK.
Over the years I've used oem, brembo, pfm and moto master discs. All can work well but the pfm and moto master are my favourite
Must be one of a very short list of race tracks where riders take money incase they don't make it round.
Oh, I don't take money but never gone hungry yet. The Manx folks are very generous
At 7:00 did I spot the one and only Mike Smith? I think he helped Eric a few years back.
Good spot sir. Yes, Mike was about
@@obsession_engineering Ah its the unmistakeable hairstyle, he used to say to me 'looks like you combed your hair with a firework'!!, next time you see him could you say hello from Jim and Pete aka Stadler and Waldorf!!
Mike was helping Rob Barber this year & joined us to help with Rick's pit stop in the Junior Race
Forgotten to mention in my comment I was quite shocked the Aprilla went wrong big time.
I'll be stripping it soon to find out why!
