to me Dave is killer! too much comparison to Plant which i understand but listen to Zeppelin concerts….hit or miss at times and I love Zep. DMB on their worst day sounds superb!
IMO the Dave Matthews Band has been the best band to come out in the last 20 plus years in bringing new music to the world. Carter is the most talented drummer ever right up there with Neil Peart , John Bonham, Ringo, he doesn't seem to get the recognition he deserves. I think he is absolutely one of the best percussionist today and along with Dave, an incredible guitar player, vocalist and song writer they have been my favorite band since I first saw them in the 90's .

How about it, a band is only putting good as the drummer. When a band plays together for over 30 years, they get really tight. I miss the fiddle too, but everybody is top notch! Only saw them once this year, my granddaughter went along, and that made it really special. She Loved it ,was spinning like a top. Look around the show and you will see all ages, that's when you know you're great! ✌️
The original is an unbeatable classic, but I honestly really like their instrumentation for this. Violin, trumpet, acoustic guitar, and Dave's voice create a unique sound. I like it.

Ok. We have to overlook a few stretches of really off key howling, which I for one am willing to do, because 1, this is a very difficult piece of music to play, 2, the original is a rock landmark, and 3 I'm viewing this for the first time and am entranced. It does what the best covers do...stays true to the original in essence but doesn't copy it. Mesmerizing performance and interpretation.
Rockstar Dave got his pipes. Never ever doubt that.

Dave is incredible as usual. Love his covers and yes on a good day this is much better than what I've heard Plant try to belt out recently. Dave is Dave and God bless him for that. Hell always be my 1st true artist love!! 💕

Stefan was channeling JPJ. This version proves just how truly powerful Bonzo was on the kit because Carter is a beast when it comes to hitting the drums and here he sounds like he was playing on pillows. Not talking trash mind you because Carter is a drumming legend, just in awe of Bonzo's power.
This song makes my hair stand up. Railriding this one was unforgettable

Funny how quick we are to judge, Dave has his own music worldly acclaimed so he went outside his normal, famous vast catalog and gave his fans a treat I am happy to hear it I wasn't there and most of you were not but to knock him for paying homage to a great band while pleasing his fans shame on you.

Drew Ostaszewski no judging here he has such an expansive range and so many songs from originals to cover and unrelased originals...if you judge you don't have an open mind. Some of the better covers I have got live Sugarman, Running Down A Dream, Don't Fear The Reaper(those back to back), Money, Money (back to back), N a great rendition of Sly and the Family Stone which I was able to share with my dad who saw them at Woodstock 69'. He is innovative and the man gets cortisone shot in the throat so he can belt it out! By far on of the better live acts still around. Those who judge just heard the ones on the radio like Crash etc and if you don't like his catalog of tunes"open your head"! GGKing was a great album and the live renditions were amazing! Look forward to 2018 tour and hearing the new music!
He gives it all up live! West Palm Beach and east coast show so stoked. After 30+ shows and having a couple years off this will be a special year as they all are! Blessed to have the acoustic and electric set special years in there too. However he wants to do the damn thing it's proper and it's a great crowd and always a time to remember and to look forward to again!!! I'll be up on that old dirt hill anytime he come around!

1000 times better than zeplin live .Unless it's zeplin live in 1968. Then it's at least as good and still maby better. Love DMB ! Check out Warehouse a DMB cover band . Also AWSUM! Their new fiddle player is great and the band is as tight as the original DMB. Well worth the time to go and see.

I was there .. the energy was awesome as usual. What did Dave say to Stephan @ 4:29 in this video? Any lip readers out there to help, I tried but just can't get it. Did it again in Stateline (Tahoe)
He might be saying something along the lines of "this song is hard on my voice.cant get it" or something I think thats what he said. Look at his face when he said it

I was there too and thought it was awesome at the time, but watching it back again, I agree--not a good song for Dave's vocals. As much as I love his voice he sounds like he's straining too hard in this one. Good Times/Bad Times is a much better Zeppelin cover for Dave
Dave definitely was struggling hitting Plant's higher notes, even the verses were mediocre or worse. While it overall should not be a song Dave covers, I totally get the temptation for a rock band to cover Zep.

I love "Dave Matthews Band and Dave is sexy as all get out but this was about the worst I've ever heard.
Oh let the sun beat down upon MY face...c'mon Dave..The groove was a little fast. It needs to be slow and sexy..Not funky..Maybe Dave should just stick to his funky stuff...
