저는 한국어 처음 공부할때 하루 최소 1 시간 동안 그냥 간단 하게 복습하는거예요...교과서 그냥 간단하게 읽었어요...그리고 우리 가끔 자기전에 혼자 말하기를 자주 하죠? 혼자 밀하기때 쉬운 말은 다 썼어요...마지막은 예능 프로그램 매일 보는겁니다...그리고 따라하기...shadowing...보통 제가 공부할때 조용한 스타일이니까 따라하기가 머릿속에 합니다...
문제는 언어는 습관입니다...자주 하면 얼마나 공부 못 해도 할수 있을 겁니다...안 하면 얼마나 공부 잘 해도 못할 겁니다...특히 말할때 제일 어렵습니다. 습관이 아직 되지 않아서...
와 외국분이신 것 같은데 정말 대단하시네요!! 저도 프리토킹 가능할정도로 잘하고 싶은 언어가 있는데 참고할께요! 저희 둘다 화이팅😊

Great tips btw, as a non native speaker myself I gradually learnt English by watching cartoons and youtube since youth. Not only did I pick up new vocab, but by listening to other native speakers, my pronunciation/accent also gradually improves. To those trying to master English, just keep trying and don't give up. It's really not as hard as most people imagine.

저는 미국에서 오래 살아서 좀 첨언을 하자면 웨이님이 영어로 이야기할때랑 한글로 이야기할때 느낌이 좀 달라요. 그게 아마 쉐도잉을해서 따라하고 있는 케릭터의 느낌이 묻어서 인거 같습니다. 제가 느끼기엔 본인의 성향에 맞는 사람을 찾는것도 좋을거 같아요. 그럴수록 더 자연스러운 영어가 될거 같습니당

Hi Way!!! It's amazing how fast you learned the English language. If someone spoke English with the Korean pronunciation, native English speakers will still be able to understand what they are saying. It maybe be hard to understand at first, but we're usually able to pick up most of what is said and put everything together.
i think you would understand SOME things but a lot of it would be misunderstood, especially because some words that are one syllable turn into like 3 and then theres the korean thing that almost interchangeably uses the letters b/p g/k t/d and more, so sometimes the words get so far from the original its really hard to know whats being said to you. if you were a person who has a lot of korean speaking friends youd eventually know what kind of mistakes are made and be able to put two and two together, but someone who isnt exposed to that i feel would definitely have a tougher time
1. 영어대사 따라서 읽을 떄 웨이님처럼 감정을 넣으면서 말하는게 중요한 거 같아요ㅎㅎ 언어라는게 기술적인 묘사, 설명뿐만 아니라 감정도 실어서 전달하는 수단이니까요..ㅎ 그러면서 영어를 한국어를 거치지 않고 바로 감정, 그림으로 연결할 수 있는 거 같아요~ㅎㅎ
2. Jin을 보니 전 이상하게 명탐정코난의 냉혈한 캐릭터인 진이라는 캐릭터가 생각났네요..ㅋㅋ 검은옷을 입고다니는 남자...ㅋ

1. 저의 경우 크라임씬이라는 예능프로를 좋아해서 해외커뮤니티 사이트에 정보가 뜨는 즉시 기사의 핵심정보를 영어로 번역해서 올리곤 했었어요..ㅋㅋ 물론 모르는 단어는 사전을 찾아가면서요...ㅎㅎ
2. 저의 경우 아이돌에 관심이 없다가(굳이 나의 첫 아이돌을 말하자면 엑스재팬) 락메탈 아이돌 드림캐쳐를 좋아하게 됬는데요 팬까페에 외국인들을 고려해서 제 게시글을 영작해서 같이 올리려고 해요ㅎㅎ 그리고 영어교과서에 나와 있지 않은 재미난 표현은 the thing is that~ 이거랑 if that's the case 란 표현이에요ㅎㅎ 이거 보면 뜻이 뭘까 고민하고 아 이거 나중에 써먹어야지 일케 되더라구요
You are really a good actress. I'm a french joiner. It's a job where we don't stay long at school so i didn't study a lot english. With my first pay, i bought TV by satellite and i watched "Friends" in original version. It improved my english better than 3 years at school because it's real discussions and it's funny to watch. My english stay at medium level but i can travel and talk with people. I still make mistakes but you learn more by talking with people than alone with a book. A really good video again ! Thank you so much !

엌 뭐야ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 제가 일본어공부한거랑 똑같이 하셨네요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 전 일본에 태어난 아기라고 생각하고 뜻은 몰라도 되니까 최대한 일본어를 많이 들었어요! 그렇게 애니를 3년동안 보니까 말실력이 엄청 늘어있는거에요😱 어떨 땐 한국말이 생각 안 날 정도로 말이죠ㅋㅋ 그러니까 문법 블 때도 훨씬 수월하고 듣고도 대충 어떤 말인지 알게 되더라구요😁😁😁 요즘은 (초급이지만)한자공부도 시작했답니다^^~ 그래서 여름에 일본어능력시험도 보러가요~! 영상 보니까 제가 왜 일본어실력이 늘었는지 알겠네요😆😁 그럼 전 한자공부하러 갑니다!!~
I am a Bahasa Indonesia teacher for the foreigners (mostly for the Koreans). I think that "Shadow" method was an efficient way to learn new language. I also use this method to my students and it works fine. They could follow the study from the very beginning without so much pressure. I also use that method in learning Korean and Japanese language. Keep your spirit in learning English, Way eonni 🥰👍

지금 대학교 들어갔는데 공부를 전혀 하지 않아서 20살인데 윤선생 영어 하고 있어요 근데 윤선생 선생님이 과외 하라고 추천 해주시던데 근데 이 시국에 과외도 못 하겠고 단어도 뭐도 아무것도 몰라서 막막했는데 언니 덕분에 또 좋은 거 알아가요!
This is exactly how I learnt English. And applying this as I'm learning Korean. When I went to Korea for a trip, many locals asked if I'm a student because of my pronunciation. And they're shocked to know that I learnt korean by listening to music and watching dramas. But that's exactly how I learnt it and able to hold conversation with koreans.

Way, I did not know you spoke English so well and you learned it that fast, and that may sound kinda corny. But I'm really Impressed! I remember that I was talking to another American in Hawaii about wanting to learn Korean, but she spoke rather discouragingly about the difficulty of learning. So, I kind of forgot about it being a goal in life, especially as the events of the future unfolded before me...that was 1995. So, I kind of understand your sentiments on feeling like you missed out on some things in life. But, as life would have it, I renewed my interest in Korea last autumn. Funny, that you mention six months to learn, I just watched a TED Talk about a gentleman who made a similar commitment to himself to learn Chinese and journeyed to China in the early 80s, he did it. In about six months. Well, I guess we shall see what happens here in the next three to six months with this Pandemic thing. I've felt a strong pull to move to Northeast Asia since last November, best I put all this Stay-At-Home time to better use! 감사합니다❣️❣️❣️ (I used Google translate to write that 🥰)

Friends really does seem like a great way of understanding colloquial, casual English. Plus, can learn the context of when phrases usually used. Have you considered doing a video in English?
