Vihaan Samat speaks about his latest web content Call Me Bae and CTRL, headlining digital releases and finding the right mojo in current cinema.
Samat is an Indian actor who works in Hindi-language films and series. He is best known for playing the lead part in the Netflix series Eternally Confused and Eager for Love (2022) and a supporting part in the Netflix romantic comedy series Mismatched (2020-present). He has recently worked with Ananya Panday in the Call Me Bae series on Prime Video and Cltr on Netflix, by Vikramaditya Motwane. He also joins the cast of The Royals.
Call Me Bae is an Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama television series written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair and directed by Colin D'Cunha. Produced under Dharmatic Entertainment, the series stars Ananya Panday in the title role, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra and Mini Mathur. It premiered on Amazon Prime on 6 September 2024 and renewed for a second season.
CTRL is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language thriller film written and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Avinash Sampath with dialogues penned by Sumukhi Suresh. Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya Menon under the banners of Saffron Magicworks and Andolan Films, the film stars Ananya Panday in the lead. It is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on 4 October 2024.
