  • Creep Feeder that is used to feed our calves. This allows us to supplement the mother's milk and get the calves conditioned to solid food for weaning time.

A neighbor built me a creep feeder for my goats. Sadly no one would go in and eat. Think it was to enclosed, the kids couldn't see in there. At least that is what I'm assuming.

That’s a shame, I would have thought they would have figured it out.

Awesome. 👍🏼 beautiful property. We are currently searching for a few acres. I feel bad for my husband, I will forever be out in the barn with the animals. 😜 Great video. ☘️

Neat set up. I did not know this. I love cattle and hope to have some one day. but don't think i can afford the land needed so i might just get one or 2 depending on how much acres I can find when I buy a home next summer.

I thought Angus and Simmentals had plenty of milk, to raise calves.
.... efficiently without the assistance of a Creep Feeder?

Hello, in ideal conditions you are correct. However, if you have too many cows on a pasture and not enough grass, it’s also a great way to supplement and keep the cows from drawing down. It also helps the calves to weigh more at weaning, which is what it’s all about when you sell them. Appreciate you watching. Thanks.

@@HeritageFarmsTexas I live in the Ozark Highlands Region of Arkansas and Missouri.....we receive less Annual Precipitation per Year than Y'all......we sell 'em as Calves and Yearlings same as Y'uns do.......same 40 inches of rain a year. And 'we' don't Creep Feed like Y'all do.... either a Mama raises a Heavy Calf and Breeds Back......and stays.... or she goes to Wendy's......
Don't make the Damn Excuse about " in an ideal situation".....
