    Ruffles can be tricky to draw! But if you can create a brush, it can make the process a lot simpler.

    Hi, thanks for sharing the video. Is this the same method to create smoking on a garment?

    • @383design
      @383design  Год назад

      Did you mean smocking? If so, yes, you can use a similar approach and create a brush.

      @@383design yes, sorry typo error there. thanks. Have you created one?

      @383design  Год назад

      @@umm-salmaadam6637 I haven't created a video like that, but it's a similar process. Create one "smock" repeat, and then turn that into a pattern brush.

    hi! thank you for this tutorial. very useful. may i ask how we can change the weight of the lines without altering the style of the ruffle? also, if we need to fill the ruffle w/ a color? any pointers for that?

    • @383design
      @383design  3 года назад

      Hello! Thanks for watching and commenting!
      If you want to change the stroke weight but don't want to proportionally also change the size of the ruffle, you'll have to update the initial artwork. Just pull it out of the brushes panel and then when you drag back it, hold ALT/Option and place it on top of the old brush. This will update the artwork.
      I have a video on my channel showing how to add color to the brush: ruclips.net/video/Au2HXJmzIkA/видео.html
      Hope that helps!

    Thank you for the tutorial! I have a question for adding the start tile: I used shift to make sure they are on the same level, but why the final effect showed that id does not match?

    • @383design
      @383design  3 года назад

      Hi, thanks so much for watching and commenting.. The issue may not be that the parts of your brush are level; it may your definition box. If your box doesn't define the exact repeat, your brush will be off.
