Besides looking great, what do you have purchased is a “great suit” to walk into the room with that stands out to planners, and venue owners. They know that you mean business, and that you know what you’re doing. Hi Aaron, Great video! I'm ready to pull the trigger on the XL, but I'm worried about it fitting in my Rav4. I'm curious what ultimate solution you found for transport. It would be awesome to save on the $999 hard cases from Max Design, but I obviously need to protect the booth VERY well. What are you using to protect it today? Links?
I bought Tuki covers for my XL. The top goes in one and the bottom pieces go in a separate one. If you reach out to them, ask them for the ones I bought for the Danny Max. I get everything into my Rogue with Tetris packing
Back in the day, we called this style a "T" Console. They held a pair of SL-200's and a Numark analog mixer. The main difference was the support pedestal was most times the amp rack, so it was wider. The top section could be used with or without the amp rack and was called a "Coffin Top". Of course, the top section had a cover for it to protect the turntables. Good to see this podium/console style returning as IMO the table/facade stuff looks cheesy. The facade serves as a barrier to the crown, I guess some guys like that. I prefer up close and personal more like a live band or solo musician/artist.
I love my Edge XL. Setup time is 10 minutes. Way less than my old facade setup and wiring of everything at each gig. I’ve had it for 1 month now. Danny Max booths rock. I also have the totems. Super easy to setup just like Dj Rachel demonstrated in her video of her totems.

My concern with the DJ Furniture is the big price tage, the heavy weight involved in lugging them around, the longer setup and breakdown time and the large size in general, not to mention the challenges of getting them into certain venues, etc., etc. Are you able to carry/lift this thing on your own when it's got your controller in it? Can I assume that you transport it with the controller inside already? I do have to say it looks great and highly professional, which is why I've considered them. But for all of those reasons listed above, that is why I haven't pulled the trigger on one yet... hoping too that they continue to be refined and improved to address some of those concerns above. Thanks again for the great videos! You are one of my favorites!!!
Everything you said is what kept me from getting one. I don't transport it with my controller in it. So, the top is light enough that I can pick it up and put it on top. The giant cases will not fit in my, that's why I'm trying the tuki covers. Set up is still about the same cause I'm still trying to figure it all out. I think why I went with it is that I decided I would put up with a little longer setup and less room in the car for this look. We'll see, it might end up on ebay at the end of the month lol
The heavy weight is the reason I got the Edge L instead of the XL. It's not that heavy at all. I was able to lift it down the stairs at my home. The setup and break down time is faster because everything is already wired up.
Can you make a video about the “ updated bags/ carrying case” you get made? The only reason I did not get the same booth was because of the massive case(s) it comes with. I need a smaller case/bag so it can fit into my car.
Yeah, I'm gonna cover that soon. I want to show how I modded it out as well. But for now- all I did was measure the top and the bottom pieces and sent those to Tuki Covers and they made me soft cases. They're amazing!

Yikes! I followed your lead and scoured the Internet late at night and lucked up on one from Guitar Center but mine did not come with a Wi-Fi device. (Mint condition though!) Is your Wi-Fi device from QSC?
Like button hit! I was curious how you were moving it. Don't want to panic you or anything, but just have an awareness...have a plan in place if your WIFI for the iPad drops. You're in good shape because the Touch Mix has controls. I've used a Behringer XR18 for years, and it's been great, but it's iPad or computer control only and I've had instances where the iPad dropped the connection and I lost control, even with an external router. It would still pass audio, but it's scary not controlling the mixer. Two weddings ago the mixer stopped completely, but it was time to cut the cake, so I recovered from that. I'm back to my little analog mixer now. Anyway...just know what you'll do if the iPad looses connection.
This stuff has to start coming down in price. Prices are ridiculous. I’ve been wanting one. But price is the factor. I was looking at building one just like the pro x control tower. To build that one specifically would cost me under $400 and yet they sell the pro x control tower for $3500 here in Canada
When I was first looking most of them were almost $1000 cheaper. But parts, inflation and all the bs going on they have to bump them. I hope everything comes back down in price eventually
I wish I was but I'm not that neat and some events take 2 or 3 Wireless mics. Sometime people want to request songs so i have an extra MacBook pro always setup and a third MacBook Pro for backup and Spotify. Yes 3 new lite weight 2021MacBook Pros I use every event for the past 10 years. Plus I like my space and people not running up on me so yes I'm keeping my white facade. But like the other DJ we love you bro and yes I thought about it but and said NARRRRR LOL
You're CRAZY! As a mobile DJ I would never buy a $4,000 piece of furniture so I could look cool and get compliments! lol you're hilarious! Not worth it! My king size mattress and base with built in cooling, massage options, goes up and down, zero gravity, comes with remote, etc. was less than than piece of DJ furniture and I get to sleep on it every night! LMFAO!
Why is it $4K? Looks cool but I don’t think it’s worth for $4K. You must be charging a shit load per event which I commend you for. But you spend a lot of money on the consistent.
Let's say that you save a lot of time each time you are setting up and cleaning up. And the customer is happy with a clean look. The $4K is not that much when transferred into working hours. It's an investment. That being said, its a subjective matter if you go with this solution or something else (that may look more clean), as long as you're happy with the look and it saves you lots of time setting up and pulling down. Personally I would go with an even cleaner look that were smaller and didn't look that much plastic with lots of things sticking out from it. I like the look of hoearbord stereo t and have made my self an custom version of that with Rev7, Wolfmix integrated in the table top, mic receiver and digital mixer in the "leg", with an setup time in 1 min.

Luckily that hasn’t happened. If it does, I can reach the mixer under my Prime 2 quickly.
