where did you get your stool from?
I loved how informative this video was. I do have a bundle of kids and worry about the kids slamming my expensive bar stools into the countertop. Would you recommend some sort of clear plastic padding for those areas?
Hmmm…where did you envision putting the padding on the chair? I am not sure I know of anything that could be put on a chair the would not damage it when you are attaching it. I would stick to a tighter swivel. If I see anything or think of anything I will come back and update this comment. You could do no swivel but it is hard to get in and out of and the kids tend to pull the whole chair over on themselves.

Awesome ideas ! Thanks for sharing. Im actually looking for the right stool. Do you think it's necessary to match the stool with your counter if it does have a marble finished?
Thank you for the kind words. No I would not match my stool to the counter. I like a difference in tones and color. I would warm up my marble finish with wood. The reason why you want to create definition between them is because stools around an island are inviting to someone to sit down and relax and you therefore you need the eye to go to them when you are in the space.
Great information. Here what we got
Our Counter Height: 36"
Counter Color & Type: White Marble
We would like to follow your recommendations and get stool with these specs:
Total Height: 42"
Seat Height: 26
Seat Width: 19"
But we can't find 42" high Counter Stool, max was 37 to 39.
Bar Stool does go higher, but then the seat becomes too close to Counter Top.
Any specific store we can go to get the above specs?!!
Your kitchen must be stunning with white marble counter tops!
I would look at frontgate for options. They are well made, last forever and have the right proportions in a chair. They also have sales so if you can hold off until Labor Day you might save money. Also I change my seat cushion out and if you fall in love with a chair but the cushion is not right you can have more padding added to the seat. It is more costly but I wanted to give you more options. Thank you for reaching out and thanks for watching.

@@julieroman That's the thing Julie, they are beautiful but not comfortable. I actually have an injury I am dealing with right now because of sitting on those stools. I am looking at the list you provided. So helpful! Again, thank you so much!
@@lilicollazo750 Injured by your chair...yes they need to go. So sorry for your injury. You are so right the stools need to be comfortable since they get used so often. Mine are really not that good looking but they have served me so well over the years it so hard to part with them. I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery.

What is the length of step knot from floor?
