Lowko, from what I noticed, you're too used to microing larger amounts of units with factories in the back producing more. That makes you a bit carelessly go head-first into battle a bit too much. With those missions it's just like you did in SC1: easy, scout it out, save often, plan it out. Add a bit of going to soften them up, retreat, heal up, soften them some more, retreat, heal up and go for the kill. Wash, rinse, repeat, victory. ;) (obviously this doesn't apply to the brutalisk and hybrid/backtracking part, but you would have a lot more "meatshields" for Raynor at this point)
It's not hard. Just have Raynor tank the damage and the medics heal him. Keep the rest back to deal with whatever wants to go for the medics. Inch forward foot backwards to minimize pod activation. It's literally just like xcom, only without bloody 95% misses 🤣
MrNicoJac - I love the XCOM reference! The 95% misses really bite sometimes. But not as bad as that 100% miss that I had one time (I guess the game had a rounding error?).
Small walk-through for people playing this along with him. First Choice: Pick right side guns, the marines will die. Kite the firebats with stim. Right before you go into the cut-scene when entering that following room, already order Raynor to blow up the Den with a breaching charge. The charge will detonate right after the cutscene. You likely will only have to fight 1 or 2 zerglings then. Next choice: Zerglings or Zealots, both will work. Use an extra grenade on them when they are clumped up near the door. Use the charge on the den for the Protoss research. Immediately after that room, breach the door on the right for the plasma gun. Vehicle Bay: Anti-Armor missiles always. Micro the the warbot to target vehicles. Use the marines to target the explosive barrels to kill the enemy before you go in. Save the special ammo. Lure the Thor near the barrels then blow them up together. OR for a hidden achievement, dont use the Warbot and manually clear the rooms using the barrels, until you reach the Brutalisk and then use the Warbot to kill the Brutalisk to unlock a --->> secret unlisted achievement.
Good walk-through. I pretty much agree on most things. I like to hotkey Raynor on 1 and everyone else on 2. This make it easier to keep Raynor at the front to tank. For the turrets, either side works fine. Just make sure to start pushing into the room as soon as you have control, since the turrets will be aggro-ing their fire. Agree on the zerglings choice. When one side is almost dead I toss a grenade in the middle. I found anti-armor and all-purpose weapons to be about the same. Push with the bot and you should be fine. I personally snipe the tanks and then thor, and never found myself out of ammo. For the brutalisk, after clearing the room, go back to the entrance and you can go between the wall and lab equipment. Put everyone except Raynor there and then release the brutalisk. I was able to keep it running back and forth, but you can also kite or snip it down. For the reinforcements, I prefer the marauders. I found it easier to manage less units, and their longer range makes it easier for everyone to be in the battle. Completely agree on making sure to pick up special weapons on the escape. Just make sure to actually use them. GG indeed :)
@Zaxton Hong Oh, I guess it might have been at the time. They might have patched it out earlier because if you go 26:41 in the video. You can see Lowko targeting the Brutalisk, it actually is considered an Armored unit, along with Biological, Massive and Heroic. So definitely go with Anti Armor missiles! Thanks for the feedback though.
Thank you for the feedback. The Marauders are indeed good, provided you got the +25hp upgrade for them in the Armory and the Concussive shells. They come in handy on everything except the Hybrid and Brutalisk, and the Ultralisk later. I think Lowko didn't invest in them fully yet. Sadly the WoL campaign marauders don't have the Stimpak upgrade which makes your army slower. The escape sequence will be harder because your army usually only goes as fast as it's slowest unit and it's wasteful to just let them die. Marines undervalued run speed can really shine here. :)
I mean, I totally would pick a hybrid commander if it's available. Must be fun playing 2 races at once...oh wait, thanks to derpfestor, zerg can do it anyway in a ZvP or ZvT match-up...🤔
At the start of Liberty, there was a bug allowing you to sell research species to Moebius Foundation... more than once. The counter of your research level was not reset to 30 after the bargain, and you can sell them after completing ANY mission. Or even replaying any mission. That's how you could theoretically get ALL Armory upgrades :)
"Does this damage me?" "It does, actually." Me: explosives tend to damage _anything_ in their effective range. 25:12 TAUREN MARINE!!! Feat of strength for this mission is to kill the Brutalisk with the war bot; for obvious reasons, this makes going through the vehicle bay tougher. Pursuing the feat can also help in getting the Not So Brutalisk achievement if your micro in getting whatever unit out of that lab section and to the war bot is on-point, since the Brutalisk destroying the war bot is almost impossible. The post-mission dialogue changes if you haven't completed A Sinister Turn yet: Jim Raynor: What the hell is Mengsk playing at? Matt Horner: Creating his own alien super-soldiers by the looks of it. He's found a way to hybridize zerg and protoss somehow. Jim Raynor: Don't look like he's house-broken 'em yet. Least the lab's been trashed. Matt Horner: Yeah, but it was only one lab. Who's to say how many more he's set up?
The ghosts in the room with the Brutalisk were really smart! You're in a room with a criminal and a huge alien monster and you decide to shoot at the criminal .-.
remember that zerg research item he picked? At 25 zerg research, I recall he picked Psi controller, meaning all he has to do, is brainwash mutalisks ;D
It was like watching edge of tomorrow with Raynor dying over and over LOL Who else almost died from laughter watching this? I was smiling anticipating lowko facedesking when he realized destroying the reactor wasn't the end when he had medic with like 13hp and Raynor alone.
When I did this mission on Brutal, I didn't realize I could use the breaching charges on the debris (I only used them on the doors). That would have been very helpful for me if only if I had thought of that.
You missed the Murloc Marine, when you get the reinforcements you can move up to the right from where they're dropped off and he'll be shooting wildly in the air on an asteroid.
You’re supposed to keep the units you get alive, and when you get reinforcements, either pick marauder or marines, don’t pick marine medic unless you lose your medics, which I’m sure you’re totally capable of lowko Also, please use the warbot on the brutalisk, it’s totally possible to kill everything else with grenades
He CAN control the units well. He just can't adapt his tactics to missions that are so drastically different from multiplayer. But seeing Lowko fail in hilarious ways (but still somehow go through the mission) is the reason why we're here, right?
Well, props where they're due, when things got serious, he controlled Raynor admirably. I couldn't pull a second coming of Lowko's Tassadar on my own playthrough, even without gloriously wasting energy on storm. Probably won't be able to solo anything here, either. Gotta try now, though.
I love to see when Lowko makes these "dungeon" missions so hard for himself. He can easily do those macro levels on which I had struggle but going nuts on this which I did with 1 dead marine alltogether. I just don't understand :D
He's just way too used to microing large groups of units, where he can jump head in into the fray and not care too much about retreating to heal up. Dungeon missions require a different play style altogether than your standard base building ones.
I didn't know about this mission until your stream! I tried it on brutal, too. It was frustrating, but if you hotkey Raynor, A-move with main and stutter step Jim forward, it becomes a lot easier.
22:20 that's one badass marauder. Lowko loved this vid man, it's nice to see that you're not really getting too frustrated when you understand you made a mistake. Keep 'em comin'!
At 1:30: It's self-destruct, not self-deconstruct. Love your work Lowko. Especially all of your playthroughs. I hope you'll continue through the Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void after this.
You realized this is a Raynor mission, but not how much of a Raynor mission it is. The trick is, Raynor's got longer range so if you don't micro, he will be behind the marines. But he also have much more health and 2 armor, so he should be tanking. So always have your raynor separate and in front and you won't lose any units Second, kite. Have rest of your unit stay back, Raynor run up, poke something and run back. You can literally clear ALL of the mech bay area without the warbot, with snipe used only on the Thor and 1-2 grenade to clear clusters. Then Duel the brutalisk with the war bot (I think there is an achievement for this, thou not in the mission completion achievement itself) This will allow you to easily clear the entire first phase without losing a unit. And if you do it right, with half of your consumables left over for escape half. Personally, I like the 3M+3M drop, so that... I can put 2 medics, small distance apart, on hold, behind during the escape part (and still have medic with my main force). They will hold the hybrid indefinitely until he "teleport"(this does require healing upgrade) But by that time, with your large army, you can easily stutter step or just run (with baits going whichever way) to the drop ship. Ofc, if you want preserve all your units, it would be much harder, as at this point you aren't afforded the time to micro all that much. But... at least completion will be easy. I just redid this, so I know this works. I only ever lost units during the mech bay (which I "solved" with S&L) w/o activating the war bot. And then on my first attempt when I forgot about the medic trick (and.. well... I forgot the map since I played this so long ago so I ended up running in circles at one of the protoss relic location...) And... I lost some shist at the egg zone cause I forgot how to clear the area properly. Still won with like 8 units left and several plasma rounds.
2 things lowko: 1: save the warbot for the brutalisk. use raynor to bait back some marines and kill them. having units alive definitely helps. that way you can save the warbot 2: on char, killing the nydus network is really fun, and makes the last mission more fun too. blowing up the orbital platform is boring.
Sigh. Not tossing grenades on zerglings. Thinking the ultralisk is a good choice. Leaving turrets to deal with firebats. Losing way too many units early on. Staying too close to the explosives raynor planted. Ignoring medics heading towards the Thor. Choosing marine to kill brutalisks. Already painful to watch.
Estelle Bright I was cringing when I saw he only had Raynor at the end, when I completed this entire mission I had 5 marines, 2 marauders, and 2 medics loading onto the dropship at the end
Zaxton Hong this is not the point. The point is lowko is losing way too many units early on, making his last part extremely difficult to play around. Much like brutal+ difficulty.
open the door before releasing the brutalisc, then try with one marine to make it follow you to the reactor area to clean up units in that area, this way you can keep all your units
No, Lowko, Reynor did NOT see hybrids before this. The special mission in Starcraft 1 where we first see them (albiet, only in sciency fluid tanks) is played with a Protoss hero. Edit: Oh, right, you can do the missions in a different order.
That was fun to watch. XD "I already have two medics" ... right, so what we get is firepower, yes? Something to kill that huge menacing beast in there? Right? Right??? Wroooong! We get MORE medics, of course.
How to easily kill the Bruta: blow up the door with Raynor, put all your units outside of the room, take 1 marine to release the Brutal, stim and run in the next room. The marine will die to the turrets and the Bruta will be released in the next room, killing everything and nearly dying doing it. You easily get the achievement not losing any units to it.
@LowkoTV the easiest way to kill the brutalisk is to take your time and clean the way to it with just Raynor and his marines and explosives you find, then get the bot armed with anti-armor rounds to b-line it to the brutalisk cell and then release it for a fairly easy kill.
Lowko- when you get to Char the second mission is a choice. Choose the Nydus one. It's another hero mission. The muta mission is standard base building.
Lowko may have had a difficult time here, but at least he stuck with his original playthrough. Everyone can restart a mission and do a lot better, but he went in blind here, and despite all the odds still finished it - with all of the optional objectives no less!
To be honest, I reloaded 5 times here no matter what I pick (marines or marauders). I’m actually glad that lowko, a seasoned sc2 player struggles. It shows that you don’t have to be perfect in your first try.
Fun to watch you go through this with the struggle. just a tip against the brutalisk... Leave the first bot alone do not activate. and slowly work your way to the Brutalisk. Then when fighting the Brutalisk backtrack to that bot and activate it to attack the Brutalisk. This was the only way i could find to kill it without losing a troop.
It's pretty impressive that you managed to get all the research with so few units. Usually you have to keep your starting marines alive, then order up the eight marines to supplement. You're just like, 'nope, all I need is Raynor'. :p
Yeah... Key to killing the Brutalisk is the Warbot (and Marauders). First DON'T THROW YOUR MARINES AWAY. I mean, really... Almost the entire game just use Raynor and a Medic. Get to the Warbot area and kill everything by baiting. Kill the Thor with two plasma blasts. For reinforcements pick the Marauders. Clean out the Brutalisk room, and send a Marine back to the Warbot activation. Pick anti-armor and send it towards the B. When it's almost there, release the B. Have them fight each other, helping with the marauders.
Get the Firebats reinforcements, especially if they got the +2 armor upgrade from the research console, they'd make great tanks with medic support for the fragile marines.
The fact that he lost almost all his marines at the beginning, then sat there save scumming for individual marines or medics. Again, while just accepting that he lost all his marines at the beginning.
So where you get to chose reinforcements before the Brutalisk, if you head out and up you can see a Krogan space marine dancing around on his own little asteroid.
Jeez Guys. Give Lowko a break! No one plays a mission perfectly on their first try. Plus Lowko is only trying to have fun playing these missions instead of going super tryhard. Lowko, watching you get just Raynor through all of that was hilarious! Keep up the good work (and don't forget to smile, alright ;) )!
FYI it was Mengsk that let Tychus out of prison in the first cinematic of the campaign... he is sent to spy on Jim. He rigged his armor with explosives to make sure Tychus didn't betray him.
Honestly, I just had Raynor tank as much as his face could and micro'd him back while the marines cleaned up. Managed the get 3 marine and 2 medis to the Brut zone and I took Mards. Then I had my team line up so Raynor then Mards would tank brutalisk while spamming the plasma shots. This did look much tougher. Sadly medics are only good with a larger amount of troops rather than smaller or equal (Even just barely over)
Lowko, I love your videos. I thoroughly enjoy watching and listening, usually. But after watching this video, I now know what it was like for my parents to teach me how to drive.
Lowko: "Practice not using the all army hotkey" Lowko *uses all army hotkey* Lowko: "Sometimes you need to be patient" Lowko *runs in and wonders why he died* Every campaign mission from SC1 til SC2
You lost way too many marines early on right after you got the grenades, which made the rest of the mission way more difficult than it should have been. You can save the warbot for the brutalisk, and chose the 8 marine reinforcement.
Wondering if anyone else noticed that the Lowko's Voice audio/video portrait was a bit displaced from the actual gameplay, reactions of something going on would come sooner than the actual event. Tell me I'm not the only one who noticed that.
Lowko plays on Extra Brutal on these dungeon missions, you lost way too many units in the first few encounters, 12:55 where you really screw up :D I would have just restarted when all of the marines died for no reason.
On this mission i went with 2 ultralisks and i just walked behind the terrans, so that way i did not had to deal with the ultralisks. Also.... I think this mission explains a lot. Dr. Narud pays you for zerg/protoss research...... Which is Duran.... So i think you are funding the hybrid development.
I'm confused about Lowko's commentary here, the Zeratul mission was for Zeratul's knowledge only - Raynor was no where near that place thus had no knowledge of any hybrids in Brood Wars? The infamous "I bring tidings of doom" scene from Zeratul is in Wings of Liberty not Brood Wars correct? So yah Raynor isn't short on memory here.
That moment when you try to one-up yourself from storming your own marines.
#justLowkoThings :D
Lowko, from what I noticed, you're too used to microing larger amounts of units with factories in the back producing more. That makes you a bit carelessly go head-first into battle a bit too much. Zerg or protoss is tougher
A bit sloppy at the beginning, but that was actually just you setting it to Lowko difficulty. And you came out on top as always.
Not the best toss, Lowko? Shouldn't you have said it wasn't a pro toss? XD
I sometimes wonder how is it possible that lowko is so bad and at the same time so good at this game
He's not in the right mindset. He plays these limited unit missions as if he can just re-macro.
It's not hard. Just have Raynor tank the damage and the medics heal him. Keep the rest back to deal with whatever wants to go for the medics.
Inch forward foot backwards to minimize pod activation. It's literally just like xcom, only without bloody 95% misses 🤣
Honestly I feel like he just doesn't really try lol. But he's going to have to for some of these!
He is really bad at playing MOBA-like mode >:c
MrNicoJac - I love the XCOM reference! The 95% misses really bite sometimes. But not as bad as that 100% miss that I had one time (I guess the game had a rounding error?).
"Oh my God , dont kill me!" Raynor: "Sounds like a plan!"
I like Trains
Why i'm laughing now
i played that in my head too!
LOL
RIP

Brutalisks in WoL are considered light units, meaning using warbot with anti-infantry flame throwers will do by for the most damage.
Good walk-through. I pretty much agree on most things.

You are welcome :) I agree, I don't think Lowko upgraded his Marauders yet, which definitely makes a difference.
so.... you sold dr. narud´s samples to dr.narud? nice deal.
Yeah, I think Dr. Narud was glad to have them back :)
Free shipping
I wonder if he knew that Raynor has raided and destroyed his hybrid facility.
finessed.
its either capitalism or a ransom. either way you're paid so no problem
Even after Amon's permanent defeat, that single Hybrid was forgotten on the asteroid facility. It is still roaming around without purpose to this day.
Yavuz Köroğlu maybe blizzard is going for making it a commander to take revenge on Amon bc he forgot that hybrid? 🤔
I mean, I totally would pick a hybrid commander if it's available. Must be fun playing 2 races at once...oh wait, thanks to derpfestor, zerg can do it anyway in a ZvP or ZvT match-up...🤔
Living Flower I mean Stukov is already a Terran/Zerg hybrid commander.
Luckysquirrel1256 who cares about stukov?
Living Flower nah there wont be a hybrid commander
Lowko, I am fascinated as to how you manage to make something really simple into a nearly impossible mission that makes us bleed our eyes out
22:14 the most badass maurader in the galaxy
completely outplay :v
LOL right?!?! Kills a giant robot and then Jim Raynor himself.
I mean he didn't kill the robot. It just ran out of juice at the literal worst time. But yeah
Mengsk : today you are promoted to aegis guard mr Marauder
"i need to keep my medics alive"... *Medics charge head first towards a Thor*
"You can probably reach platinum rank without microing your units" ~ Lowko 2018 ...Looks like you can even go up to master rank without microing. =p
Nice job on the Hyperion macro. Keeping those credits low and all.
by purchaising some useless upgrades, yeah
you actually wanna spend as little as possible until you reach char so you can do all armory achievement in a single campaign
pretty sure you need to play the campaign twice to purchase other upgrades from the console for that achievement.
At the start of Liberty, there was a bug allowing you to sell research species to Moebius Foundation... more than once. The counter of your research level was not reset to 30 after the bargain, and you can sell them after completing ANY mission. Or even replaying any mission. That was back when SC2 was still only WoL, they've long since patched up that bug, can't do it anymore.
lowko : makes worst choices
also lowko : this mission is kinda hard
Somehow, he'll psionic storm his marines.
Lowko always finds a way.
I know it's kinda late now but could you direct me to a video of this exact marine misfortune?
Opperative ZERG I don't remember which one, but it's in his Starcraft remastered playthrough.
Justin Thompson | Thanks a lot!
I'll be going now cause i have about 3.5 hours to watch :D
"Does this damage me?"
"It does, actually."

Jim Raynor: Don't look like he's house-broken 'em yet. Least the lab's been trashed.
Matt Horner: Yeah, but it was only one lab. Who's to say how many more he's set up?
It's been 14 years and I did not know that! I always complete the protoss missions as soon as possible for the juicy research.
"Yeah, marines are pretty silly." No Lowko...Its you.
Dzodin yeah. Marines have less attack range and Lowko did not notice it :(
Well units in Starcraft are as stupid as your commands to them
I remember that brutalisk fucking me up when I played this map. "Oh yeah I can kill a brutalisk no pro- holy shit he's fast as fuck boy"
The ghosts in the room with the Brutalisk were really smart! You're in a room with a criminal and a huge alien monster and you decide to shoot at the criminal .-.
Everyone, convince him to do Belly of the Beast
unknownman115 gaylords mission is less fun than the nydus mission but makes the last mission easier because terrans have siege tanks
remember that zerg research item he picked? At 25 zerg research, I recall he picked Psi controller, meaning all he has to do, is brainwash mutalisks ;D
And brood lords. 4 brood lords > kerringan
@unknownman115 Having a Hive Mind Emulator is dandy and all but it depends on him actually using it.
Lowko, dont forget to search for the secret mission!
It was like watching edge of tomorrow with Raynor dying over and over LOL Who else almost died from laughter watching this? I was smiling anticipating lowko facedesking when he realized destroying the reactor wasn't the end when he had medic with like 13hp and Raynor alone.
FYI breaching charge can also be used to destroy debris and holding pens
When I did this mission on Brutal, I didn't realize I could use the breaching charges on the debris (I only used them on the doors). That would have been very helpful for me if only if I had thought of that.
Hey lowko at minute 26:05 on your video you can see a Metroid in one of the pods. you miss it.
Oh wow i played that mission a few times over the years and never noticed that haha
Every time i see lowko uploading a new Wings of liberty video, i transend closer to god tier.
I think this is the first video I've ever watched that has given me physical pain.
MY EYES OMG HELP
Thyckus you should really ask for help to doctor, this is not chat you need.
You missed the Murloc Marine, when you get the reinforcements you can move up to the right from where they're dropped off and he'll be shooting wildly in the air on an asteroid.
LOL what if the reason for Zeratul's prophecy is because Lowko did the secret mission and released the Hybrid? :P
You’re supposed to keep the units you get alive, and when you get reinforcements, either pick marauder or marines, don’t pick marine medic unless you lose your medics, which I’m sure you’re totally capable of lowko
Also, please use the warbot on the brutalisk, it’s totally possible to kill everything else with grenades
lmao!!
i don't understand how it possible?!
Player from master legue cannot control few units well???? wtf is this LOWko ?
It's... typical Lowko.
Seems like macro is more his strong suit.
He CAN control the units well. He just can't adapt his tactics to missions that are so drastically different from multiplayer.
But seeing Lowko fail in hilarious ways (but still somehow go through the mission) is the reason why we're here, right?

musashi gundoh, you're right more than ever
"Oh hey, I can bomb the debris"
*proceeds to not bomb the very next debris*
I love to see when Lowko makes these "dungeon" missions so hard for himself. He can easily do those macro levels on which I had struggle but going nuts on this which I did with 1 dead marine alltogether. I just don't understand :D
I love how he lost most marines before the holding pen and called down 3 additional medic as if 2 isn't enough.
He's just way too used to microing large groups of units, where he can jump head in into the fray and not care too much about retreating to heal up. Dungeon missions require a different play style altogether than your standard base building ones.
i remember panic buying combat shield before this mission lol. loco should do more drops so he can get better at dungeon crawling.
I didn't know about this mission until your stream! I tried it on brutal, too. It was frustrating, but if you hotkey Raynor, A-move with main and stutter step Jim forward, it becomes a lot easier.

I honestly feel sorry for Donny, he lost a brother because of the very man he had blindly followed until now.
You realized this is a Raynor mission, but not how much of a Raynor mission it is.

And then on my first attempt when I forgot about the medic trick (and.. well... I forgot the map since I played this so long ago so I ended up running in circles at one of the protoss relic location...)
And... I lost some shist at the egg zone cause I forgot how to clear the area properly. Still won with like 8 units left and several plasma rounds.
2 things lowko:
1: save the warbot for the brutalisk. use raynor to bait back some marines and kill them. having units alive definitely helps. that way you can save the warbot
2: on char, killing the nydus network is really fun, and makes the last mission more fun too. blowing up the orbital platform is boring.
Can't you put medics in another hot key? You let medic get hit from everything.
Lowko! Don't forget the SECRET MISSI......oh.....wait.....we don't have to do that anymore.....
This one is the best so far, I'm laughing my head off watching lowko play.
*Last Unit remaining after Brutalisk attack* - SELL ME, TALK TO ME: TIME TO MAN UP
What's the plan? Sounds like a plan
There's a video of a guy beating this mission without losing a SINGLE UNIT
#MarineLifeDoMatter
Zaxton Hong this is not the point. The point is lowko is losing way too many units early on, making his last part extremely difficult to play around. Much like brutal+ difficulty.
@Zaxton Hong There's always a video of someone playing brutal and making it look like casual. Always. Doesn't mean it's not hard.
@38:09 LowKo is so LowTho!!
open the door before releasing the brutalisc, then try with one marine to make it follow you to the reactor area to clean up units in that area, this way you can keep all your units
“Marines are pretty silly”
10 episodes earlier
“Marine is the best unit in SC2”
Difficulty: Lowko
Completion: Barely
Achievements: None. Only failures
That was fun and painful at the same time. I think I'll watch it again
No, Lowko, Reynor did NOT see hybrids before this. The special mission in Starcraft 1 where we first see them (albiet, only in sciency fluid tanks) is played with a Protoss hero.
Edit: Oh, right, you can do the missions in a different order.
I think this episode is about as Lowko as it gets, really. And I love it XD
Gets anti-armor arm upgrade, continues to shoot marines and takes major siege tank damage
That was fun to watch. XD
"I already have two medics" ... right, so what we get is firepower, yes? Something to kill that huge menacing beast in there? Right? Right???
Wroooong! We get MORE medics, of course.
The facility is used to make the hybrid. The Moebius foundation/narud/Duran is using the Terran techniques to get the perfect hybrid DNA
12:30 "That wasn't the best toss. "
So what your saying was it wasn't a PRO-toss?
bruh
17:30 that war bot is the key of a feat of strenght achievement. If you can kill the brutalisk with it you get an achievement.
I know this episode isn't perfect, but I still really liked this video. Keep up the good work Lowko :D
Lowko: I need medic to get pass this
Also lowko * proceed to move medics to the firing range of all the enemies in an impossible way *
Fun to watch you go through this with the struggle. just a tip against the brutalisk...
Leave the first bot alone do not activate. and slowly work your way to the Brutalisk.
Then when fighting the Brutalisk backtrack to that bot and activate it to attack the Brutalisk.
This was the only way i could find to kill it without losing a troop.
lowko with that last part with the brutalisk why didnt you open the door and release the brutalisk into the reactor
It actually just walks forward and blocks the door. It doesn't go into the reactor room
i cant help cheering for lowko
It's pretty impressive that you managed to get all the research with so few units. Usually you have to keep your starting marines alive, then order up the eight marines to supplement. You're just like, 'nope, all I need is Raynor'. :p
>Lets units die before using the A.R.E.S bot to kill the Thor
26:03 did u notice the metroid ?
omg I never noticed that before! That's awesome!
Also a Tauren Marine in the top left corner middle tank.
Better question might be "what's a metroid?". I don't think that series was very popular in the NL, and I know them only through Super Smash Bros.
I've never skipped through so much in a lowko vid
Lowko. If you kill the Brutalisk with that ARES warbot, you will get one Feat of Strength achievements. Just FYI
Finally the classic Lowko we are expecting!
LOWKO THIS WAS THE MOST STRESSFUL THING I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED
You can save activating the ARES bot until just before you release the Brutalisk too. It's useful.
lowko you need to get raynor to tank he was always behind your marines hence they were ALWAYS targeted
Nothing better than seeing Jim Raynor run around with 1 HP.
Get the Firebats reinforcements, especially if they got the +2 armor upgrade from the research console, they'd make great tanks with medic support for the fragile marines.
i was like omg lowko save those medics
Judging by his performance here, I'd advice Lowko go for Shatter the Sky. Belly of the Beast will take hours of save-scumming.
Master league micro :D
Sadly medics are only good with a larger amount of troops rather than smaller or equal (Even just barely over)
Best series yet Lowko! Keep it up!
Get the Hell's Angels Lowko
Lowko, I love your videos. I thoroughly enjoy watching and listening, usually. But after watching this video, I now know what it was like for my parents to teach me how to drive.
13:30: Has two medics, Raynor, and 1 marine left over. Picks the ultralisks.
Not gonna lie. I laughed heartily when Lowko was down to Jim, and then got squashed by the thor in the next room.
Lowko: "Practice not using the all army hotkey"
Lowko *uses all army hotkey*
Lowko: "Sometimes you need to be patient"
Lowko *runs in and wonders why he died*
Every campaign mission from SC1 til SC2
Please do a run-through of the entire StarCraft2 campaign!
Oh yeah! Please choose to do the "Belly of the Beast" mission! (Where you take down the Nydus Worms..) I wanna see the giant Queen! Please!
It's a lot easier to tell medics to follow your units than it is to tell them to move along with them. That way they stand back a healthy distance.
This comment from 5 years ago just made my day, that is such a good idea and in all my Starcraft games I never thought about that
On this mission i went with 2 ultralisks and i just walked behind the terrans, so that way i did not had to deal with the ultralisks.
Don't forget the secret mission!
now it will finally show up that you completed the wol campaign on brutal :)
