This is a fun lesson to return to about climbing up and down the neck from both Bobby's and Jerry's perspectives. I've had my eyes set on things like 'Looks Like Rain' that you forget some of the easier rhythms that are still sophisticated when you think in terms of how the ornamentations interlock with each other. It's funny how you let folks know that your coughing during this lesson isn't Covid.
Haha, I guess that is funny. Yeah I was listening to 8-25-72 Truckin' and was struck at the outro jam how the simple interaction of Jerry Bobby Phil in a simple E groove that just never stops
@@vedantus Well maybe a bit, but there's a lot going on there between Bobby's and Jerry's parts. Never realized until now that Bobby was the one playing the colourful parts in this one. Always just assumed that it was Jerry. The more I learn about Bobby and his playing, the more I realize just how good he is.
@@NukesOfHazzard I saw him recently and was in front of him verifying that the parts I play are correct to how he plays it and it was both lovely and sad, like watching ginger rohgers dance backwards with no Fred Astaire... his parts are designed around the missing jerry
@@vedantus Well that makes a lot of sense and yes sad. I should I have been able to identify Jerry's guitar by the very distinctive chuckin rhythm and rolling base licks.

Anyone know why the mother of pearl dots on the fret board at the sixth, seventh and sixteenth frets?
Hahah, I used to always miss the lick on Help on the Way and the High E riff for Trucking, so I put temp dots at the places til I learned better!
