You ever use the MHW products? My BEP basket has been producing bitterness at the same flow rate as my stock basket. Kinda frustrating.
Have question in regards to Wafo’s different sizes. Which one would you recommend for a lever machine? 22g?
For size, I can’t say. I only have one size but I’d like a smaller size.

I got the miischief spirit and use it on 6 bar no preinfusion profile. It's great on light and medium light roasts but dark and mediium dark roasts turn out to be bitter.

Throw them in an ultrasonic with cafiza and try again. As a motorcycle and car engine repair hobbiest I would understand oil film on metal part. That said, $200 for a basket is UNACCEPTABLE unless it makes horribly stale over roasted coffee taste amazing for a milk drink. FULL STOP!!!
Apologies if I come off rude. But I'm sure we can agree $200 basket is ridiculous. Those things DO deserve a premium price... $50 maybe???

I’m okay with premium prices for some things and with a new basket design and manufacturer process, I could understand a higher price.
I cleaned it. Still has the nasty toy.

I didn't realize the issue you had was potentially due to the metal. If the basket is effectively 1/10th the price and simply needs to be cleaned, that seems like a really good middle ground.
I hope you try to figure out what the issue is because if it's merely a cleaning issue, I would immediately buy one. I've held back because of your dislike.
Definitely, I will try it this weekend. I would still hold the critique that these should be ready to use right out of the box.

I don’t know because I didn’t use it for more than a few shots.
It does, even unifilter bends.

@calebsun492 only when the puck is not wet enough, it's rarely.
Robert you're probably right, and you're not the few people that had poor comments for these knockoff basket, even some Chinese reviews gave negative comments on the mesh and no mesh versions. One possible problem is they do not attempt to have holes with same size, and some comments reported that the mesh locks grounds and fats which is generally a very bad thing. Like most knockoffs, they provide the feature you want, without checking if the product actually works as you want...
However for health and safety, I would suggest you to give them a REALLY good wash with detergent before testing, as some small manufacturer use "cleaning" chemical to process their metal works without washing it through before sending to the customer
