Its not a cutting waterjet so much as a water guided laser, the laser beam travels parallel to the path of the water which allows for cuts that don't taper on the sides like normal lasers. It's quite a revolutionary technology really, much more economical than wire EDM machines, at least for thinner materials, and a lot faster too. Doesn't require a starter hole either, it makes its own.
