- Three people have so far been confirmed dead and close to 300 injured following an explosion that caused a huge inferno that rocked the Embakasi area of Nairobi Thursday night. Government officials say the 11.30 pm incident happened when one lorry loaded with gas cylinders exploded, igniting a huge ball of fire. The injured were rushed to different hospitals across Nairobi, some bearing life-threatening injuries.
How come the gas plant was operating illegally yet the authority did not take action, seriously corruption will cause more sufferings to poor Kenyans.
I'm sure the owner will not be arrested. Atahongana.

Something is not adding up here how illegal is this illegal??? Does it mean COUNTY COUNCIL OF NBI don't collect tax in the said premise? If that's true then Kenya tuko na shida as far as revenue collection is concerned nimeachia hapo😂

This is Kenya(TIK),, nothing new here,, corruption will never cease in Kenya. Apparently the gas depot owner hadn't insured the business, and an Embakasi police officer who sought anonymity claimed that owner of Embakasi gas plant is well connected and therefore efforts of arresting him failed as police bosses were at the frontline in saving him. The owner is well connected to powerful people in the government and police bosses.
