    Love love love this one Brad!! It’s a breath of fresh air to see someone enjoying the outdoors, and not staring at a screen the whole time! Keep doing what you do!!

    Any specific reason you like the heavier jig on top of the double rig? Seems you’d get more depth separation with the heavier jig on the bottom. Thanks for the great informative videos

    • @crappieconnection
      @crappieconnection  Год назад +1

      I do it both ways
      Just let the Crappie decide which one they like. Agreed on the different depths with heavier on bottom

      Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve always put the heavier on the bottom of my double rigs and like you caught 90% on the bottom. I think I’ll experiment with heavier on top on half the poles next time out and see what works best. In winter, I’m only trolling 7-8 fow in central FL shallow pan lakes. In summer, 12-15 fow lakes.

      @crazyvlogs7547 you probably pull mainly 1/32 & 1/16

      @crazyvlogs7547 Год назад +1

      I’ve been molding ponyheads with holes for scent. My heavy is between 1/16 and 1/8 (closer to 1/16) and light is between 1/48 and 1/32(closer to 1/32).

    Looks like all my rods are to stiff and all my line is to big . Went to flint creek res yesterday . Trying to crappie fish . Not a bite . Talked to a man (mike) he was leaving , had a limit .I hope I figure it out one day ..don’t have a run itself trolling motor . Good video .

    • @crappieconnection
      @crappieconnection  Год назад

      Those are factors to consider. 6lb mono is definitely a great all around size for Crappie. Especially long lining jigs.

    Can you do a video on fishing edicts and very basic common fishing laws number of poles hookrefs bait regulations (in general) I am coming out of Wa. State and they have impossible fishing laws. One pole one hook barbless and sing hook lures no bait no attractant just insane stuff. Love to see

    Hey Brad. You talk about long lining at speeds of 1 to 2 mph. I have a 55lb Minn Kota on a 190TX Tracker. On a flat water day I might get 1.1 mph. Any input on upgrading my motor with more thrust and raise the mph? I contacted MinnKota and all I got was here are the charts for thrust per weight of the boat. I don't want to spend 3k on a new motor and not get the long line speed I want of 1 to 2 mph. Can anyone help?

      @crappieconnection  Год назад +2

      1.1 to 1.2 are pretty close to the same. I do have one idea
      Mount one Minn Kota 40lb trolling motors on the back to give you more speed
      Probably cost ya $200 or so to do that

    With the heavier jig above the lighter jig doesn't it get tangled when you cast?
