These look amazing! I love all the well thought out upgrades and additions. Currently have 4 boards, but this makes me want to add a pro board to the collection for our family!

This video blew me away, most companies give the WORST descriptions and you can tell they're just a cash grab. I can feel how passionate this brand is, i definitely think I'll be purchasing my first paddle board with Isles.

I am looking for an inflatable kayak for use in sheltered waters along the coast of Maine. Safety, weight, durability, and comfort are may major concerns. I have significant experience with plastic sit on top kayaks, but I am moving to an apartment and need an inflatable boat that I can store. I have no interest in standing up and would always use the 14 foot explorer pro with a seat. I am 75 in good shape, 6 feet 200 lbs. Is this board appropriate for coastal use? I expect a wet ride and imagine the board will not be as fast as a traditional plastic sit on top, but how well will it handle wind and choppy seas? I have researched many brands and designs of inflatable kayaks and the simplicity and light weight of your hybrid design interests me. Thank you.

Thanks for your questions! Based on the information you provided we do think the Explorer 14' would be a fun sit on top kayak for your needs, however sheltered waters will be the preferred venue. It can and will handle chop and wind, however because it's a planing hull with a skeg it will want to lee cock (turn downwind in windy conditions) so you have to account for this (paddle technique and moving trim up towards bow). You'd also want to wear a dry suit for safety. The board/boat is very durable, however it is a single-chamber inflatable so we recommend nearshore use and also bringing extra floatation (your seat and footrest are also extra floatation). Hope this helps!
