I'm going to Aldridge on Saturday to the transport museum and they are doing a running day and they have the last mcw metro rider still operating. I used to get these all the time when I was a kid going to school and these buses were a load of fun and sounded amazing. I even remember all the reg numbers, we had the sky buses with 1 vky lol
I personally kind of prefer the 111 number you suggested before (though to be honest for such an important route I would recommend a single digit number) since it is a lot more memorable than 108. Though to be honest I would personally put that as part of the R series since it kind of stays within Reading for almost its entirety. Kind of similar to the 2 and former 12 in Darlington (one of my local routes) which are cross-town but still count as local routes
Its funny you say that. I have been debating making it a lower numbered route. I dont know if I wanna do like single digit though, may reserve 1-9 for future use. But I could well make it the 10, or 111. See what looks best when I try both
