Great video Cue, I have to say though that Harley isn't alone in pushing out vehicles before they are ready. I am a technician at a luxury German car dealership and it is very frustrating and disappointing how poor the quality control is on new vehicles and the number of recalls issued to address problems that should have been discovered and fixed before the vehicles are released. The manufacturer stands behind their vehicles, but customers are still being inconvenienced and confidence in the product suffers. Glad you are still enjoying the CVO in spite of the glitches.

Sorry to hear the issues. Not giving you a hard time but I was thinking about my first bike a 73 ShovelHead SuperGlide that I put a lot of cross country miles on, it had NONE of that stuff that you've had trouble with, just a basic MOTORCYCLE and I loved it. Still riding at 71 now on a 03 Dyna FXD and IT doesn't have any of that stuff either.
I have a low rider st and the only problem I have it’s turning off the bike while riding,it happened to me like 4 times, the button on and off is badly placed
i heard the bag lids hinge system is weak and lids are sloppy when open , spokes on wheels arent warranted unless you have dealer tighten them every so many mliles
I don't think the spokes require adjustments....atleast that's what I've been told. The lids have a "not quality" feel to them compared to the prior generation lids, but I am use to them, so it doesn't bother me. The problem is the shape of the bags. They look good, but you loose a little rigidity when the lid is opened. The could probably lessen the effect by adding some structure inside of the bags, but that will make them less useful. The question is long term durability. We will find out in the coming years if people start reporting cracked bags.
Checking with a few "23 CVO owners. I have 800 miles on mine and have a nasty, what sounds like a noisy lifter. Listening to it, it may be that or coming from the primary. No noise accelerating or decel, but say 2300 rpm 35 mph, clak, clak... It's loud and of course Harley dealer says, "oh that's normal".... so does your CVO have this nasty bad lifter noise? Thanks for your help.
It sure does. I had the opportunity to test ride several CVOs in Milwaukee. They all had the same sound. If I get a chance, I'll record it and post it to the FB group. Join us if you haven't already done so. facebook.com/groups/239520952275662/?ref=share_group_link
Good morning, I enjoy your videos. I own 2020 Indian Challenger and we Indian riders understand your joys dealing with the great infotainment systems. Hopefully HD will have updates later this year for all you HD riders
As a Harley owner for 20 years, I've learned anything new is pretty much validated by the consumer, fixed on later models, and sometimes offered as an upgrade at an unreasonable COST to early adopters who did Harley's validation for them. Could be cam tensioners, oil pumps, cush sprockets, fairing mounts, your issues, etc. My issues with my 2023 Wing Tour auto since Feb and 6k miles are that I can't find more time to ride it in Michigan with owning a Summer seasonal business. Love your videos, Cue. I watch them all.
I expected issues with the bike...just not this many. The sad part is that I'm betting someone knew about them and either said nothing or there was a push to get the bikes out by the 120th. Either way, it makes Harley look bad in my opinion. It's a shame because this is an extraordinary bike
Man, I’m sorry your going through all them trials and tribulations. That’s why I never buy the first year of a new production vehicle…to many bugs. I’ll buy like the 3rd year maybe…hopefully harley will watch this vid and address these issues and possibly recall. Best of luck!
@@RidingandWrenching Bruh I could never feel comfortable out there on them streets worrying if it’s go to shut off on me..it could kill you bro. For the amount of money you spent on it? Nope! It would be going back. Good luck my dog.
So I just picked up a 2024 road glide yesterday and I got everything hooked up to the infotainment system and I have no sound coming through the speakers like at all! No radios sound no Bluetooth NOTHING!!! Have you had this issue. I know car play is hooked up properly but I have NO SOUND!

I have one too cvo Road glide I have yet to have one issue with mine I did a khrome wreks 2into1 / Harley tuner I bought it for the performance beside wanting a front drop in ohlins & a t bar set up I’m done upgrading my bike with new pipe tune & new air cleaner 115 hp 129 tq & rear hd772 ohlins the bike is amazing
I'm glad I watched this. I love the styling of the new CVO and 2024 Street Glide but I figured there was going to be problems with all the new electronics. I agree, they should have waited until they hammered all those things out, especially since these bikes are so expensive. One thing Harley knows how to do is charge high dollar for their stuff.
I own your same bike - I have had 0 issues after 2k miles. I guess I hit luck. On the infotainment, I have had 0 issues, waiting an extra 30 sec to let the compose up, connect my headset, and then my phone has not bothered me at all. It’s only 30 seconds.
That's the same priority I've been using. Switch on then wait for the infotainment system to boot up before starting the engine. So far zero issues. Hopefully I'm on the right path.
Seen your vids but havent seen a recent one i guess and didn't know you got a new rg cvo. Sucks to have issues with a new bike but this bike is indeed pretty sweet. Congrats!
Great video Cue!!! A tip I learned years ago with anything you drive, Never buy the first year of anything until they workout the issues that folks like you experience!!! Looking forward to your next vid!! Don
One of my personal defects is that I am an early adopter! I was hooked on these bikes when I first saw the reveal. It is a really nice bike. Fortunately the things that are "wrong" are easy fixes
Excellent review, Thank You - Test drove a RG CVO last week and have a 22 RG Limited. I was very impressed with it but wondered about all the new features and tech stuff. Seems Harley has always had issues on new model releases, like the M8. After the ride I thought about getting one but wondered about potential issues and decided it'd be best to wait for a future model after the bugs are worked out. the sound system was terrific. I'd disable that stupid kick-stand feature, seems it's more problematic then helpful. Totally different look for a Road Glide, I'm on my third one.
Thank you for your review unfortunately I didn’t watch this before I bought my 2023 cvo road glide I knew there could be possible bugs to work out I’ll keep you posted on any issues I run into hopefully none.

Great video. I’ve been watching your videos forever but after today’s video I’m a subscriber! Love how you expressed your true feelings about the bike. So many you tubers (some of which you mention from time to time) never have anything to say that might effect their relationship with Harley. I am on my second 2023 Street Glide CVO. Had leaking oil issues on the second day of ownership and a tip over warning that they could not get to go off a couple of days later, new bike. The new bike seems to be better but I still have the CarPlay issues. Just received a recall notice yesterday so it’ll head to the shop shortly. What bothers me must is that Harley will not step up and hey we have a few issues but are working diligently to correct them. Just wishful thinking on my behalf. Anyway, keep up the good work and try not to let to much time go by between videos. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing. I have not had issues with the kick stand yet but I was not told about this feature so naturally I thought something was wrong with my bike when I put the kick stand down while in 1st gear, just prior to shutting it off. I thought it just died. I too have had some issues with the blue tooth connectivity. Also struggling to get parts for it for the Stage 1 Upgrade. Finally found some slip ons from Krome Werks and I finally got the S&S air cleaner to upgrade from the giant air cleaner that comes stock. I am also waiting for Klock Werks to come out with the 9in windshield as I am only 5' 8" and the ones that Harley has and the ones that Klock Werks currently have available are to tall for me.
I have experienced the kickstand issue twice. I still don't know what caused it, however, HD has had a few software updates that (hopefully) have addressed these issues. I thoroughly enjoy riding this motorcycle
Great video, thank you. Kick stand issue is scary, hope it’s addressed asap. You are spot on on the infotainment system. HD has never been great on electronics. Sad thing is the CVO owners are always the testors for the new electronics. Hope they get you squared away very soon for the money you have paid
Kenny at Clemmons Motorcycle Shop told me that Harley is supposed to release software updates in the coming year maybe they will address the issues that were mentioned
Don't feel bad I have a 2023 Ducati Diavel V4 which is the first V4 model year. So far i have had the following warranty repairs: cool fans, exhaust butterfly valve servo motor, and servo cable. Also the Ducati turn by turn software is difficult to pair the first time. I love my bike as well. If you love the bike that's all that matters. Slow Rider out.
I just made a purchase of a 23 roadglide, its getting delivered on 1-18-25 hopefully if thee are any issuies down the road they will be few and far between
I think you will be ok. Most of the issues have been resolved since the launch of the 23's. I am very happy with mine now. The only lingering issue is the slow boot up Apple Car play. Unfortunalty, you have to do "work arounds" to get Car Play working
Harley sells a garage door opener for your other bikes that gets wired into the headlight circuit and uses the high beam switch. I’ve used them for years and love it.
instead of wiring them to your headlight, the garage door opener can be wired to a momentary switch. I did it and it works fine without potentially compromising the headlight
Nice Job Cue! I guess I'm pretty lucky in that the only issues I can really complain about is my right side pocket opening in high winds or over big bumps. Harley absolutely needs to fix the kickstand and tip-over warning issues. Those are safety issues and I for one am not trying to Beta test something that can potentially cause bodily harm to myself, a passenger or anyone else. I hope this is a fairly isolated issue, but at the very least we need a statement from Harley on this. As for the the suspension, it's not perfect, but as a big guy, I think it is leagues above previous models. The settings in the manual are not exact and you have to play with them, but once locked in, the suspension rivals my previous Legend Revo-A and Ohlins 044 setups for handling and ride comfort. I totally agree that the engine in this bike is phenomenal. Harley absolutely did a great thing here. Thank you for all you Do Cue and thank you for allowing me to be a moderator on the Facebook page. What an awesome bunch of people starting with yourself! -Jonathan
I just bought this bike on Dec 19th 2023 it had 9 miles on it. I put an additional 8 miles on it the day they delivered it to my house which was the 22nd of Dec. I have started it a few times a week since then. I had the engine light come on and I checked the codes and reset them. It went away for couple more times of starting it and let it idol. Now it's on again so I ran the code and looked it up it has something to do with the coolant system. Now the dealership is coming to pick it up to check it out. I'm a little nervous to be having issues already with only 17 miles on it. I always swore I wouldn't buy a Harley I've always owned Honda's and never had one issue. I bought it in hopes since they redesigned it in 2023 that they made progress in there quality making.I just hope it's an easy fix and runs great after this. I also have two hose like components running up in front of my gas tank that rub against my handle bar housing causing black marks on it. I don't see away to keep these from doing that. Last but not least on my exhaust side of the bike I had a wire harness hanging down about 3cm from the exhaust so I had to use electrical tape to cover the wires going into the harness and zip that harness up to the frame. I'm sorry but 45,000 dollar bike I shouldn't be noticing wires like that or the other issues I mentioned. It's a beautiful bike and rides smooth but they need to fix this before it even gets sent out. The CVO is there top bike so build it like it is.
Thanks for the review. Its sad that the quality control becomes worse and worse and i believe a lot has to do with Chinese parts. These bikes are expensive and HD riders are loyal. Has the dealership addressed any of the glitches? BTW i love your shirt
wow, surprising to hear about issues on their flagship bike! IMO infotainment is the area that most manufacturers struggle with the most- i would rather just have Apple CarPlay and be done with it. they don’t all need to try and make their own systems… and clearly they’re not that good at it
First year model problems... glad to hear your engine is operating well. I am looking out for 121 VVT engine reviews. HD has a history of first year model problems. Look how long it took them to solve the oil sumping with 7 or so oil pump redesigns. HD stock suspensions on their touring bikes has always been garbage. I have read that the new CVO suspension is an improvement over previous years. Thanks for the review. :-)
The kickstand issue has only happened twice and I haven't been able to predict when it will happen. My expectation is that a future software update will resolve most of the issues
In talking with the service guys here, it sounds like the "Tipover" warning has been popping up quite a bit. It has not happened to me, but seems to be happening to many others. Unfortunately, I fell into that "No preload out the door" trap. Definitely a missed opportunity here, since my Pan America self-adjusts very nicely.
I have a 2015. When the Rushmore bikes first came out, the infotainment system on those was a joke as well and I recall having the exact same thoughts. How the hell did "they" say "Yup, it's all good. Send it"?
I'll stick with my 2010 RG. I put black, CVO bars on it and updated the stereo and speakers. I will say that I do love CVO Roadglides. Especially the colour you have.
Really a nice looking bike. So sorry about these issues that will pose a safety problem. The more technology......The more stuff to go wrong. Be careful and safe Cue. I love that Stang!
@@RidingandWrenching you should do a video on how the traffic and weather over lay works. Sounds like a fantastic bike. I feel Harley does not look at any bike before they go onto the truck. And with anything new, there will be glitches but they will work them out. Ride Safe
Very good sir. I just discovered your channel so I will have to check out your other videos. I'm considering a CVO in the near future and it's nice to hear some real reviews. The good and the bad. I was concerned with the infotainment center. It almost seems to me that with there being so many different things it could be a rider distraction. Any thoughts guys ? I like to be able to access the stereo without aggravation. As well as monitor engine vitals and speedometer. For me, everything else is just a distraction.
I don't find the system to be distracting. It's different than the Boom GTS, but it's easy to learn. There are alot of options for configuring the screen, but once you find what you like, it always stays the same. I will do another video on the different screen options discussing the pros and cons of each set up
The kick stand and tip over switch need to be addressed. A recall is always a safety issue so maybe that will fix one of these...TSB could be anything... Lets us know...
This is terrible news. The quantity of issues you have experienced is unacceptable. I would think the lemon law would kick on at this point? I hope you get it sorted. Love the shirt!
I'll take it to the dealership when they get the parts for the recall. Hopefully they can fix some of these bugs. It's a shame because the bike is really awesome
Love your videos, my one question is have they fixed the oil consumption on these engines? My 17 was a guzzler and dealer did nothing. My Challenger use none.
Thanks for the FB page getting lots of good info to Australia, my gripes homelink not working here & little disappointed with the standard of wiring & position of wiring, wiring bent to much wiring sleeves to short , loving the bike would just like a bit more quality for the price
I'm sure one of the upcoming upgrades will be a fully adjustable F/R suspension on the fly and through the infotainment screen with an auto mode. It should have been on a flagship bike that's this expensive.
Very honest and clean review. Sounds a bit like the same problems the pan american riders have. Digital issues. Hope HD will resolve them soon. I have one question, what were the EQ settings that made the sound better ?
There are several different eq presets that you can use. There is also a custom option. Initially, I chose the custom option and set it to remove most of the bass. I was concerned that the bass would damage the speakers. I didn't know (at the time) that there is logic built into the system to limit bass beyond 60% of max volume. The custom eq setting that I chose was working against the system resulting in low sound volume at freeway speeds. I switched to the Harley Signature Sound eq setting and the problem went away. The issue is that Harley dealers don't know much about these bikes. Several customer dissatisfaction issues could be resolved with better dealer training. Harley should send me a Christmas present for some of my CVO videos!
Thank you for being honest about the CVO. I never buy anything first year. It is pioneers like you that will make our experiences better in 3 years

Still riding at 71 now on a 03 Dyna FXD and IT doesn't have any of that stuff either.
The tip over sensor would worry me, Hopefully Harley can pinpoint problem, thanks for the review.
I have a low rider st and the only problem I have it’s turning off the bike while riding,it happened to me like 4 times, the button on and off is badly placed
agreed. I've gotten use to it, so it doesn't happen that much anymore
i heard the bag lids hinge system is weak and lids are sloppy when open , spokes on wheels arent warranted unless you have dealer tighten them every so many mliles

Good morning, I enjoy your videos. I own 2020 Indian Challenger and we Indian riders understand your joys dealing with the great infotainment systems. Hopefully HD will have updates later this year for all you HD riders
Thank you Sir for a very good review on the CVO 2023 model year.
I believe the person doing the infotainment quality control is the same one doing the crankshaft runout quality control 😂
All good. In spite of the glitches, I still love the bike.
@@RidingandWrenching Bruh I could never feel comfortable out there on them streets worrying if it’s go to shut off on me..it could kill you bro. For the amount of money you spent on it? Nope! It would be going back. Good luck my dog.
I agree with you. I did not buy my M8 for that reason until 2022.
@@swiss9632 the motor in this bike is amazing!
@@RidingandWrenching mines a 21, no complaints
So I just picked up a 2024 road glide yesterday and I got everything hooked up to the infotainment system and I have no sound coming through the speakers like at all! No radios sound no Bluetooth NOTHING!!! Have you had this issue. I know car play is hooked up properly but I have NO SOUND!
Nooo!!! That sucks. Have you tried the USB connection? Join our FB forum. I'm sure we can help.

There have been several software updates, so hopefully the glitches have been resolved. These motorcycles look amazing and they ride very well.
Same. I haven't had any issues with mine......yet.
I'm a sucker too my man!! Thats what I'm talkin bout!!@@RidingandWrenching
@@thedon7726 I feel confident that Harley will fix these issues....I just wish that they had done pre-launch
Do you think they'll make a gas cap that can be closed? Hug from Rome (Italy)
I think a locking gas cap would be nice. Also automatic lock for the handlebars
So, the big question I have is, what has HD done acknowledgement to fix the errors.
Be sure to join the FB group. Lots of great people there to help you work through any issues that arise

Sorry to hear about your experience. Harley really needs to address these issues asap.
I have this bike and absolutely love it, it’s all what you personally like
I love my CVO. It's a great bike especially now that Harley has addressed most of the glitches that early owners experienced.
Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm a big fan of Harley (I own 3). I just want them to be better.
Can’t wait to hear about what is fixed and not fixed.
an update video will be out soon.
I also have the drop guards on the guards and they work great.
Guess ive been lucky only issue ive had the infotainment screen got stuck once in 2k miles
I have the drop guards I highly recommend them they will pay for themselves immediately if you drop the bike
Thanks for the great overview..
Two thumbs up!!
Looking forward to seeing your new bike.
Harley sells a garage door opener for your other bikes that gets wired into the headlight circuit and uses the high beam switch. I’ve used them for years and love it.
I didn't know that! It's included in the new CVOs....atleast some of them
instead of wiring them to your headlight, the garage door opener can be wired to a momentary switch.
That's too bad. Hopefully HD fixes the glitches. The CVO's are amazing motorcycles
Great review, as always. Harley needs to step up and sponsor u more for all u do
Thanks bro!
Yes Being in Memphis , you better duck when wearing that shirt. 😂😂😂
😂😂that doesn't mean shoot me!
Always great information Cue! Thanks
So glad I found your channel. Very informative and helpful information. Hoping Harley brings out a 2024 CVO limited with all the upgrades.
Me too. I might trade one of my other bikes for a CVO limited
$$$$ Sixty five thousand dollar glitch ! 😮 $$$
Those Rushmores had a lot of expensive glitches too.
You have another new Harley?!?!?! Congrats. When is the introductory video coming out?
That's a lot of issues! Hopefully they fix them in 24. I'm not gonna lie though, that ending made me literally lol. I retract that statement!
😂😂😂I was laughing hysterically when I found that clip!
@@RidingandWrenching 😂😂
Bruh, great content, and explanation of these issues.
I think the production of this bike was rushed due to riders switching over to Indian. Hopefully they'll do a recall or software update.
There are alot in Indian fans who would like to believe that
That's the problem with so much technology, more things to go wrong.
That's true
I have one identical to your. Got 3500 miles on it. I have a couple small issues, but no where near your problems.
The kickstand issue has only happened twice and I haven't been able to predict when it will happen. My expectation is that a future software update will resolve most of the issues
Thank you for this excellent review! Your channel is awesome!
It is not just Harley. We are living in a "sell the beta" world. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video as usual
Subbed , Cue is too genuine to miss out on.
2024 CVO Street Glide with 7grand on it.. and I love my bike... it has a few design flaws but nothing is perfect... But all and all my rig is bad ass
Your Mustang. Love it. Have you thought of doing videos of the car? I enjoy all your content sir.
I'll do a video on the Mustang soon
Nice video. Very informative.
Thank you!
It's a great bike. It will be better once Harley addresses the glitches
Really a nice looking bike. So sorry about these issues that will pose a safety problem. The more technology......The more stuff to go wrong. Be careful and safe Cue. I love that Stang!
Great video bro
Don't hype him up! Lol just playing
I think you made a mistake you should get a Challanger elite!
I could, especially if I wanted a bike that turns like an aircraft carrier
@@RidingandWrenching you should do a video on how the traffic and weather over lay works. Thank you!
I have a 2024 street glide and I haven’t had an luck with the apple car play either. I’m going to have to upgrade the radio before I can tell you how it sounds,I do like it better than my 2016 road glide.
If you have the 2 speaker set up, you will definitely need an amp and better speakers. Reach out to Volunteer Audio. They have an amp upgrade ready
Well damn I’ve been buying CVO’s since 2011 it had a garage door opener.
This is my first CVO. I didn't know that they included garage openers.
Sounds like a fantastic bike. I feel Harley does not look at any bike before they go onto the truck. And with anything new, there will be glitches but they will work them out. Ride Safe
The outro was great😂😂😂
Looking at getting this exact model. Curious if any of this has been fixed since 9 months ago ? Great video.
Yes, there have been a few software updates. I will be doing a 16,000 mile update on the CVO soon. I will discuss the changes.
Unacceptable for a bike so expensive,at that price it should be perfect actually,I’m happy with my Lowriderst, very simple electronic
Awesome review and a honest assessment, thanks for sharing 👍🏽
Excellent review
@@RidingandWrenching thank you sir for the fast response. I will have a go at my eq settings. And i hope you receive your present , it's well earned ;)
Curious as to whether you took these issues up with your dealer prior to making this video?
The most significant ones.
and did they fix the ones you told them about? @@RidingandWrenching
