Tbh maybe there will be a quest up there in the next update, maybe like with enkonomiya it had its ‘extension’ update in the next version, maybe next update there will be a more important event that includes this area

even if this isn’t the way there I feel like it’s possibly a small hint at what sumeru could look like with the little mushrooms everywhere and the fireflies. like yeah it’s just green grass but it looks a little different in a sense maybe it’s just me.

She just stops us from going to places where there’s fake lights coming from the ceiling since you could use venti to get to the fake light in the under sea area of Inazuma

Elemental sight is your friend, dont need to blind search the spots. Also Paimon says "there is nothing there" in many spots in the chasm. The seed and the roots are related to sumeru, but I think its just sign that you are very close to the this lands.
Just fell in from a hole in Sumeru, so yeah. Only just found this item lol.

Just found this area today all randomly. It is so pretty and the ost is so sweet.
Also notice how the three locked seals requires the elements of the Archon’s we have met so far. I realised because I was playing with the Archon team and all three got to use their skills. Coincidence? I think not. XD
Honestly can’t wait for Sumeru release.
If you go to the elemental pillars and walk in the direction its pointing you can unlock them

After seeing the unfinished model of what seems to be the capital of sumeru ( a city residing on a giant tree) I wouldn’t be surprised if the tree was dying and this seed was the new tree you have to help sprout😅

Nah the real path to sumeru i think is a small cave way through the chasms middle left part near the statue of the seven cuz theres a way with a sign and it leads towards sumeru but paimon wont let you go there. I have the small cave way pinned in my map with a quest pin saying: "entrance to sumeru?"
There's also another road in The Lisha area near the Yakasha's shrine which unmarked on the map.

interestingly, the electro geo anemo pillars looks like interpreting the best exploration characters like
keqing, zhongli, sayu/kazuha/venti or literally almost every anemo
For some reason i think those three pillars represent the current released archons elements(venti anemo, zhongli geo, ei electro). Idk it is just dumb speculation.

It may be implying the three archons hid the seed of the former dendro archon(theory from the CN community)

You see the secret spots with elemental sight and the last 2 are near the last 2 elemental monuments and the geo one is on the ground and the electro one is next to it on the tree and they are leaves like in the one commission in mondstat where you pick up leaves from the big tree and also, they just unlock the chest and the chest gives you a quest item thats a dry seed, idk what to do with it yet
seed's probably used for the tree north of the Main Mining Area, gonna break the rock above and tada Sumeru lol

@@pancakes231 Remember Key of the Moon Bathed Deep? They let us use that 3 patches later. So basically this seed's gonna last about that long in our pockets too.
But who knows. We can only wait.

@@pancakes231 the sumeruian researcher who came with us to the chasm has a series of world quests which after completing, he will give the player a letter in which he said “will be helpful if you ever find yourself stuck in trouble in sumeru” i think it could be a subtle hint as what kind of story sumeru will have.

those things that u actually “touch” are leaves, you can see them clearly by using elemental sight
I hope Sumeru is only accessible though the Chasm. There should be a thick layer of poisonous fog that separates Sumeru from Liyue.
maybe after the archon quest there will be a world quest to remove that like the tatarasuna one
I mean,if you see a tunnel near the statue of the seven,you'll see a tunnel to access sumeru
Literally the first thing I tested after updating and it was, indeed, an entrance to Sumeru!
I hope if Sumeru Region is release on Update 3.0 Patch, just like Inazuma is release on Update 2.0 & 2.1 Patch.

I think the three elements represent Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma's location.
Now there’s 3 ways to go to sumeru
If you notice, the things you have to light up are also the elements of the current regions; further hinting sumeru
For the people who don't know, this quest is the same as the leaf quest in windrise monstalt.
Use your elemental sight to find the leaves on the roots. They unlock the monuments.paimon says so when you first come across it too.
I think it's more fun to look without elemental sight

You can tho, I've been doing the commission for like 100 times and memorize and can see where is it. Im this case maybe the lighting on the area affects your vision but it is visible if you check it carefully I think I got that too without using vision during my exploration in chasm. Just saw something and thought it is something else while going through the light.

Chasm is a border between sumeru and liyue meaning half of sumeru will be grassy
I think that part of a tree root is already part of sumeru if there's a way up in that area i'm thinking that it will be sumueru's nation because there's a hidden tunnel near the main entrance of chasm and when I get out it's almost the grid of the map so I'm thinking that area is part of sumeru that got discovered connected to chasm
Post-Sumeru update, an interactable spot can be found on the top part of this area (among the roots) which then teleports you to a waterfall nearby Gandharva Ville. Accidentally found it while I was hunting for chests in the Chasm!
I just found a secret entrance in sumeru by accident and now I'm here.
When Paimon says something about nothing be up there, my gamer instinct told me: easter egg (maybe).
So i kept claming, got close to the light then invisible wall prevented me from going any further up :-(
I think for this one, we gotta trust Paimon. I tried climbing a very high spot almost thinking of just going down but didn't receive that spiel from Paimon. When I looked around a bit, there's a rock monument which gives you 10k mora. Then I tried to go up again for a little bit but then the spiel happened. So I guess its the game telling us that nothing really is worth climbing there. Haha.
There's definitely some sort of massive tree in sumeru and this is the roots of the tree
When he went to his inventory to look at it. It said it was a quest item. This could be related to the archon quest in sumeru!!
How cool would it be if there is another totem to open but you need to use Dendro.
I was kinda anxious that would be the case.

maybe thats the reason why they represented it with the dendro slime in the center
Found the cave just by stumbling into it. It was soo cool I think the seed has something to do with the Dendro archons rebirth or something to like related to that.

Just tolet u know its actually an entry point to sumeru
you can stand on top of the root opposite to the hole and use venti skill to fly to there now, it will show “move up” option and you can go up to sumeru
apparently this video proves that most people forgot about the elemental sight feature

the anemo geo and electro totems probably act like sort of a path sign. The anemo totem faces Mond, Geo totem faces Liyue, and the electro totem faces Inazuma
This reminds me of that one weirdo I met in game. He didn’t open any chest and when I asked him about it he said "I’m currently doing seelies after that I’m doing the chests" 😂
When I came across this place randomly, I was so confused. Since after the quest Paimon says she'll talk about the seed later and then she doesn't. 🤣

You're right sumeru is on the side of chasm, i believe 98% that is sumeru, i think that is the root from the big tree sumeru
That gotta be Sumeru,if it's a part of Liyue then the Qixing would've sealed that hole

There's also a mine entrance that exits to an openfield South West at Chasm's Maw before & below Old Man Chou's hut it would then South East of the Hut with the Map turned 180°
Probably figured by now, but yes, that's one path into Sumeru after 3.0.
I came here to listen to the ost there, i just love it! I hope a lot of the music in sumeru is like that bc it reminds of the calming and nostalgic mc music so much. :D so Excited for 3.0!!

I went in that room in Sumero
To me, this is clearly a sumeru teaser. When entering, Paimon says a voiceline. This means this area is obviously important in a way. Also, the three totems, anemo, electro, geo, represent the nations in the game already. The chest should represent sumeru as we will ‘unlock’ it

Easier way to find those thing is to use elemental search, do that before u losing ur mind

I was so excited after stumbling upon this little Sumeru spoil because I'm an extreme Legend of Zelda fan and the atmosphere literally just gave me the same vibes of the Korok forest and the Great Deku tree

pro tip: you can actually use the elemental sight to search for those things on the tree

For the hidden spot you need to activate the elemental vision to see some leaf glowing on the tree
is there gonna be like an insanely huge plant boss in sumeru that we have to defeat and it let's out poisonous air somerhing that makes the citizens hypnotized. i sure hope kusanali won't be giving us a ton of burden.

I found this cave before Sumeru too, opened the chest etc, tried to go up there and got stopped by Paimon, but then I live it... And completely forgot how to get there ;;0;; I even started to think that this was just my dream, ahaha, i kept trying to find this place again after Sumeru release buuuuut I failed :,D

I think it leads to sumeru academia or sumeru in general, from the sneak peak we got from the 2.8 live today there was a clip of some plants and they look just like some ones I found in that underground place with the tree.
Can't wait for Sumeru, i feel like it's gonna be a beautiful place.

pause at 2:21, you can go climb to the bottom branch on the right (i'm not sure if it's reachable without Kazuha, i actually didn't try), then cling on to the big branch, you can't climb up anymore because of a barrier but you can go to the rock on the left of the big branch and stand on it. then you can go to the seemingly open hole. there's a barrier when you try walking through. use a small character like Sayu and you can fit through on the left of the barrier. there's nothing inside there unfortunately.....
oh and once you get in, there's no going out.

I found this place too, it was so peaceful, prob my fav place in all The Chasm.
The one you touch were the ones we collect the elemental leaves in one of our daily commisions in Mondstadt in Windrise. Use your elemental sight to see them. Paimon said it at the start to use our elemental sight. Rather than blindly find them xD
From Sumeru trailers I think that this a little part of Sumeru I mean their are the same mushroms

I think this has something to do with the seed of Sumeru Bianka planted in a bubble universe, it's just a hunch though
