Auburns defense has the potential to take them to the promise land. Meanwhile, everyone assumed A&M kept the score respectable against Clemson because they were pretty good. But after this past Saturday, everybody now knows Clemson isn't near the same team they were last season. Which also means that A&M sucks. Meanwhile, that Moo State team Auburn beat Saturday is also awful. As that Kentucky team Moo State beat at home two weeks ago also lost to a very bad South Carolina team. So color me very skeptical of that Auburn team somehow being elite cause I don't see it. Sure Auburn had its best offensive performance of the season against Moo State this past Saturday, but that was against an absolutely atrocious defense. Oh yeah, that Oregon team Auburn barely beat to kick off the season struggled mightily against a very bad Stanford team two weeks in ago. Hence, I see Auburn as being a decent team so far this season, but decent is still a long way away from being an elite team. Meanwhile, while I hope Auburn beats Florida this Saturday so Malzahn can get off the hot seat, I can't see them coming close to beating either LSU or Alabama. However, I do believe that Auburn may have a very good chance to beat UGA at home later this season. Anyway, the reason why I want Malzahn to keep his job at Auburn is because I know as long as Malzahn remains at Auburn, Malzahn will never upgrade and modernize the offense. Which should mean that LSU with its new state of the art high scoring offense will be able to dominate Auburn for the foreseeable future.

What I got from this game is neither Auburn or Texas A&M possesses a defense that can come close to slowing down LSU's passing attack. Furthermore, I also don't see either Auburn or Texas A&M modernizing their respective offenses as long as their current head coaches remain. Which is exactly what I love as an LSU fan.
