There is a small, basic speaker in the PC tower to make little warning beeps and such. A lot of older games used that for sounds.

I've never been within three minutes of an oney upload
In various games that were old enough that they didn't assume you had a sound card, the motherboard's onboard audio was generally referred to as "PC speaker" during sound setup. Some games had this as the ONLY option, either if they were created by a single person or small team with the right resources, or just if they were so old that they predated the first commercial sound cards. I have an old strategy game from 1989 that uses PC speaker only, sound cards were around by then but it was made by two guys so they probably just didn't have the money or expertise for anything else.
Surprised they got to talking about other things this character looks like and no one mentioned Hitmonlee. Once you see it it's pretty one-to-one.
