I’m guessing this was recorded before the biggest announcement of the year so far, at least for me, “The Crow” in 4K AND there will be a steelbook & standard release. I’ll be preordering both versions, both cases look amazing.
I agree completely! I really don't know why that was not a standard release. It seems like it would have been a good seller beyond just the exclusive run.
Definitely want Caligula. Not long ago I was looking for at least a blu-ray to upgrade my dvd copy and the couple I found were either region locked or massively expensive.
I have already seen Burial Ground 4K several times as I'm amazed at the cleanness and detail of the print. And have seen Dracula Prisoner Of Frankenstein a couple of times I thought it was going to be bloodier. Anyway as always thanks for the heads up and cool video Richard!👉🙂👈

The Arrival hasn't been announced but I am hoping it will be. Since they are doing some of the director's films lately I do hope that one will be next.
I think Severin might have done a restored 4k Caligula release. Good to know. I'll have to grab a copy of Unlawful Entry. I might snag a copy of Peeping Tom. I've seen it long ago. I've never seen A Story of Floating Weeds. I heard about Anatomy of a Fall. It's supposed to be quite good. I have no idea about the plot. Lots of good stuff. I actually haven't picked up anything recently. Many thanks Richard! Great stuff! Supposed to be a cold snap tomorrow and Sunday. Then back to warm weather. Also chances for rain just Saturday. I think you are right! I think Severin did say something about Caligula a while ago. It will be interesting to see what happens since I know Umbrella is an Australian company but they do have US releases. Not sure if Caligula is a US release or not. If not then maybe someone, like Severin, will release it here. I am so sorry about the drought. I haven't been following a lot lately. Dealing with some personal stuff. I hope there isn't a bad drought this year. We do need the rain even if I hate driving in it. lol I hope you have a really great weekend too!
I remember Severin put out Caligula: The Untold Story and Caligula and Messlina. I don't recall them ever announcing Caligula starring Malcolm McDowall.@@RichardDiaz

It is too much. I also wish it wasn't an exclusive. An odd choice not to make it a standard release. I like the movie and happy to have it on Blu-ray but I also wish I didn't pay $30 for a non 4K.
This is Shout's new thing. Making cult titles web exclusives and charging premium prices. I hate it, but I think it's the future of boutique labels, in order to guarantee Return on Investment. If I remember correctly a year or two ago Watchers II was also a web exclusive LE of 1,500 units @ top-dollar and sold out pretty quickly.
@@RichardDiaz I don't like this trend of twenty, thirty dollar plus Blu-rays and forty dollar plus 4k. I know it makes me with a tight budget have to really decide. Hey should I buy an old movie I like that is well over thirty bucks like Weird Science only to have the 4k transfer suck⁉️🤔 I think 🤔 they would sell more older titles if they were around twenty bucks and had great transfers.
The official announcement for The Crow happened after I finished the video which I'm bummed about because I would have led with it. So excited for that! I missed the Taxi Driver one. I'll look into it. If it's the same one that was in the Columbia Set then that is a great 4K release. Long overdo to get some of these titles on single releases and not just in these large sets.
It depends on the release for me. The recent 4K of Darkman was a big upgrade with the transfer since the one on the older Blu-rays was from an even older HD transfer so that was long overdo. Ones like that I am excited to get.
I'm looking forward to picking it up too. I saw it for the first time in film school and it was an actual Technicolor film print and it looked amazing.
