I feel like the reason people don't troll anymore is because it just never works now. Before evolutions, there weren't a whole lot of overly powerful cards, so decks had a lot more freedom, and there was a lot more potential for weird, off-meta decks and troll decks to work. But now, evolutions just make it practically impossible to use troll decks, and are just so broken that you need to build all decks around countering and cycling them. I know that the point of trolling isn't really about making a good, viable deck, but its to the point now where troll decks have basically a 0% of working, which completely removes the fun of trying to get less serious strategies to work.
I totally agree. Evos, especially double evos, on top of tower troops, makes trolling with spawner decks for example completely impossible. Basically trolling now is just running an op card and putting it in a cycle deck.
I used to troll a little bit back when Legendary Arena had just moved up to 3000 trophies. I dropped from 3000 to 2000 and rushed players with skarmy + mirror + clone + rage. If they survived the push then I let them 3 crown me. Honestly at that trophy level I won about 50% of my games. You can't do that anymore, there are just so few casual players left. Nowadays you try to play anything remotely funny and you take a level 15 mega knight to the face.
Tf you talking about. Goblin hut and furnace both kill the FC because it can’t react fast enough for it to wipe out the spawned troops. The only spawner that FC works well against would be barb hut, and maybe skele spawner, but both leave the FC easily open to being spelled with poison or arrows and will be an overall negative trade since many more spawned troops will come after the FC is dealt with. I would say the bowler is the best anti spawner troop since it’s tanky and it doesn’t get shredded by odd fire spirit interactions like the executioner, but it still won’t matter since poison is pretty meta and everybody has one or two buildings like cannon or Tesla on them
Casual scene had a big downfall before 2020. In 2018, Fortnite killed the big "Clash Royale funny moments" channels by them switching to Fortnite clips compilations, and so the content just stopped being spread. I know they wanted to make money and by far Fortnite was a goldmine back then, but damn...
now trolling is just dropping a level 15 megaknight in 6000 trophies

Honestly I think troll decks being gone is the main upside of OP evos. Off meta stuff not working is still mostly bad, but troll decks can stay dead

I run a troll deck in 2v2 with an all spells deck but I add elixir pump and heal spirit. This also helps with mastery’s
If you want a real troll 2v2 deck, use E golem, mirror, clone, and rage. You either win instantly or lose instantly

The Worst Trolling that happened in Clash Royale was Drew coming back after Rick decided to abandon Clash Royale right after Champion was released.
