- The WNBA has been a joke for as long as the league has existed….
We’ve all heard the joke, “would you rather pick up 5 dollars off the street or have your local WNBA team win a championship?”
And yea, for the better half of the last 30 years… everyone would take the 5 bucks.
But FINALLY, there seems to be a shifting narrative in the WNBA…
We are witnessing a once in a lifetime experience with the WNBA…
And what is that exactly? An exciting product that people want to watch, and that is thanks to none other than Caitlin Clark.
Caitlin Clark has completely transcended the sport to a level it had never reached and is continuing to bring an entirely new level of excitement and attention to the women’s game.
But instead of WNBA players being blessed with the best opportunity they’ve ever had for people to actually watch their games, they have shown an immense amount of jealousy to all of the attention that Caitlin Clark is getting...

At 17th, Caitlin Clark is the ONLY rookie in the Top 20 in scoring, in the entire league. The next closest is Angel Reese, who is 35th. Cameron Brink is 60th. Caitlin leads her team in scoring and assists. League-wide, Caitlin is 9th in assists. She could be No.1 already if her teammates could catch passes and make shots. The haters and racists are REALLY gonna cry when she wins ROTY....despite her coach, teammates and referees all working against her. There will be NO Kendrick Perkins racist tirade costing Caitlin the award.
Unwatchable niche product. Clark is not going to change that because it's what SHE is too. (Of course the NBA has moved a long way in that direction as well.)

Yes they are extremely jealous of Caitlin Clark's success and popularity. They're jealousy and resentment can not be hidden from the world. They are all going to be removed from their comfort zone and they know it. They're jealousy and emotion blinds them. I guess no one has ever told them that when emotion runs high logic runs low!

Clark will eventually adjust and figure it out. I think people underestimated the level of play in the WNBA and thought Clark would come in getting away with what she did on a college level- not the case. She is too predictable at this point and teams have film on her so every teams best defender tries to give her grief. Also you know if she goes left shes getting ready for a step back three and if she goes right she’s driving to the basket- these teams have already picked up on it. Hopefully her coach will figure it out and put it together and she as well as the team will begin to gel.

Diana is pretty much correct. We actually have to see how Clark does against the women in the WNBA and so it’s understandable. Hopefully she does well tho
I just watched her interview and she said she went to great team so its different experience. So there will be adjustments but shes not right entirely because her experience was different. If Clark went to great team like Diana, like Aces, or Liberty I dont think her play will be like that, because her teammates will have the same energy and fierceness like her.

To be honest, theres a difference between jealousy and competitiveness. I agree with Taurasi, and CC's WNBA numbers so far show that CC is in a whole new league. Maybe she can make a name for herself eventually, but she will be average at best for quite some time

Taurasi and other players were simply telling the truth that a player's college game will not automatically transfer to the pros. Clark fans, because they know ZERO about the league and the game, immediately took the comments personally because they felt that their white basketball messiah was under attack, so they banded together. Well, their messiah is crucifying HERSELF at this point because she is playing horribly and showing exactly why the current WNBA players were right. I’m to the point now that I’m about to just quit watching. I never watched women’s basketball before, now listening to the angry jealous lesbians complain about Caitlin getting all of the attention is maddening. I don’t think I will watch it much more. If Caitlin doesn’t get on the Olympic team I don’t think I will watch another game. It’s that bad. I’ve even bought the worthless WNBA season pass and espn+ just to watch her. If they don’t start calling fouls on the people fouling Clark this is my last season. I didn’t care before, now I’m getting mad.
