I am fortunate to have grown up near Colonial Williamsburg and still live there. I have many memories of visits to Williamsburg and always loved the beauty and history of it. It is especially beautiful at Christmas.
Thank you for sharing. . .we are originally from southeast Texas and our son is stationed in Virginia and he visited the Merchant Shops today and in his words it was like stepping into a Hallmark Movie set, it was beautiful. Wish we could be there. Experiencing it through pictures and seeing it through his eyes was wonderful & such a sight. The candy shops, the live music & instruments played, children laughter and people of many gather was a sight. The ice rink and holiday lights were amazing even in pictures. Wishing he was home but sure am thankful he surrounded by much to remind him of home and evenso experiencing beautiful new adventures wherever he goes. As he walk in historical town and I recalling from History books and sharing history with each other (I'm quite a history fanatic). Just beautiful.
Perfectly described and such great images from your son to visualize a future trip there for yourself! Thankful for your son’s service and thank you for your great comment! Merry Christmas!🎄🎁🎩
Thank you for your videos. Being a fan . Of colonial williamsburg for many yrs but I always learn something new in your educational.and inspiring videos. Thank you for your artful videos and happy Christmas to you and yours.
Spent Christmastime for many years with my family in Williamsburg. My parents would stay at the Inn, and we stayed in various colonial houses ...these are some of my most cherished holiday memories. We also had friends connected with the "Foundation " who lived at that time in the Robert Carter home. To celebrate a Christmas meal with them in that home was nothing short of magic.
Thank you...our friends were the late Don and Mary Gonzales, with Don serving as Executive VP of the Foundation. They were wonderful and are truly missed. I retired to Europe where I've been the last 25 years. If you love Christmas, then I suggest you come to Germany where in my city of Leipzig, they have been celebrating the Christmas Market since 1458. In many ways, Colonial Williamsburg is also European... that's certainly why it never disappoints.
Very nicely done, my favorite place in America. I work in tourism and do some TV and Radio and you do a great job promoting your destinations. I look forward to viewing more of your videos. Christmas in Williamsburg is the best ever!
The posting in the center of the reef on that one door was a court order for the estate of William Ruth to pay the plaintiff the amount the late Ruth promised the plaintiff along with the court cost. It included a small summary of the court case in the beginning of the notice.

Orange fruit? Persimmon maybe? Awesome video.
That could be it! Thank you Bonnie!
@@QuestCapsule You're welcome. That and apricots are often dried.
Osage orange. The wood is virtually rot proof. Tree has thorns and is used for hedgerows.
Fantastic!
Wow Scott!! Amazing video. You have a gift my friend. The gentleman playing the Hammer Dulcimer was great. Merry Christmas to you and Sarah!🎄🎁✝️.

I know the squirrels there aren't very shy. I wonder if they bother the fruit on the wreaths?
Im not sure Katie but probably pretty tempting!🐿😊
is it a kumquat or pawpaw tree fruit?
It does resemble both!
