My kid DID question the "play with me as punishment". However, I explained that it's not a punishment, it's showing responsibility for your actions and making it up to the person you hurt. Once she actually saw it in action, she leaned in, enjoyed it, and asked for more.

For the last one with homework. So, my kids don't get screen time everyday. For the most part week days the do not even watch TV. We have a fire tablet that they were doing abc mouse on but they messed up the charger so we took that away. My point is the only screen time they get is sometimes something I cast. So of it is a school night and my son (he is 8) decides not to do his homework he already knows he probably isn't watching TV. What else can I do? Also what of he does get to but my daughter was misbehaving? Our TV is in our living room. I find it very hard to get anything done like supper when I tell one child you can watch TV but the other can't. Because the other will continuously leave their room.
