At the start of the film in 1969 , Jo’s dad says that the tornado may be an F5, but the Fujita scale started being used in 1972

in the theater scene tho, they DO say later that they were just experiencing downbursts and updrafts, not the actual funnel itself

The tornado that hit the drive-in and Wakita is not the same tornado as the F5. The Wakita tornado was supposed to be an F4.

Besides the fact they'd be shredded, a tornado is an amalgamation of suction; all the air would be sucked out of your lungs and you'd suffocate...if you even survived seconds before being torn to pieces. Love your channel and your review, absolutely amazing.

i was just wondering about the `flying cow' part, was that used from what was wrote in a journal from around 1925 tri-state tornado when someone had written that a cow had been thrown into a restaurant by a tornado?

No, because there were no trailer parks that were hit. You have to have at least one trailer park!

The last tornado is supposed to be a different tornado from the theater tornado and I think it’s the only f5. The one that hits the theater is supposed to be maybe an f4? Dusty says when they’re loading Aunt May up in an ambulance “I don’t even know if you want to know but it’s happening they’re predicting an f5.” That tells me that the last tornado hadn’t happened yet but would soon.

I think it would be interesting to see your take on the made-for-TV movie "Atomic Twister" from 2002.

Never liked the movie Twister. They went the Hollywood approach the stars have plot armor. By that movie its possible to outrun a EF5 or F5 on foot while in its path ok Hollywood.😅

Doesn't the NWS specifically advise against hiding under bridges or overpasses during a tornado? Also, wasn't the first tornado an F1 or F2, cause i feel like the barn would have maybe I lost the roof but not disintegrated like that

This movie is from 1996; the 1999 bridge creek Moore tornado really confirmed how dangerous it was after a woman was sucked out from under an overpass trying to protect her son
