- Nike Phantom Ultra play test - in today's video, JayMike takes the brand new Nike Phantom Ultra football boots to the pitch to let you know how they perform in action. Back in 2017, Nike launched the Flyknit Ultra, which would go on to be one of their most widely loved football boots, and seeing the the Phantom Ultra follows the exact same recipe with an upper that's more or less identical but with the pattern of a Hypervenom 3 instead of a Vapor 11, the Phantom Ultra is bound to be popular too - and in today's video, JayMike will share his good - and bad - experiences with the boot.

Hypervenom was the best boot Nike made. Right from barefoot like touch to fit, looks and stability. It was all spot on! 🥺

My 7 year old hypervenom phantom tore this year. Used many pairs but nothing compares to it. Greatest football shoes ever made.

I just got a pair of phantom 3s this year and I wish I would’ve gotten more when they were initially out.
it was unfair of them to make the sizing limited, I really wanted a pair!! Flyknit ultra and the hypervenom phantom 3's were prolly the best nike had ever produced. I really hope this is whats next for the hypervenom line since hypervenom gt's were a disappointment.
I still have and mainly use my Flyknit Ultra Vapors they have held up so damn well aside from some discoloration the boot still have a ton of life left

Just bring back the Vapor 9, the veloce takedown model was the comfiest pair of boots I've ever worn. Teijin synthetic was so malleable and with the Japanese HG they lasted for an amazing amount of time.
Since then...Nike's haven't been too great.

I get the grip thing but could that effect you while your dribbling close to your to body? Like is it a little to grippy or is the boot just right?
Have you tried the latest predators? Definitely takes some getting used to and find it does get stuck under your feet sometimes. Especially if it’s dry 4G turf. Imagine this to be similar.

I think I would be tempted to get some if they had added quadfit mesh or something to help lockdown, but my memory of the fly knit boots was that they left a fair bit to be desired in the lockdown department. A bit lazy imo although I appreciate the fan service

@@ahijahjoseph2746 well my feet are a 9 and a half uk size but I wear 10s for any shoes or football boots no matter what because they’re so wide but to me that’s true to size because if my feet were narrower I’d be wearing 9 and a half’s

I remember I had the Liquid Diamond Hypervenoms when they came out. To this day I will never understand why Hypervenoms were so popular. In my opinion they were such shit boots. I definitely prefer Mercurials over them.
