Making The Mask From The Movie "THE MASK" - Aluminum Sand Casting Method

- How do you make a mask from a sand mold? Well, in this video I'll be casting the mask from the movie "The Mask" starring Jim Carrey. I 3D printed the model I found off of thingiverse and made a mold of it in petrobond sand. I melted down some scrap aluminum and poured the molten metal into the mold. I cleaned up the mask after and painted it brown to look like the magical mask that was found in the lake. If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and hit that Subscribe button for more.

Hi brother I want to get onto this it looks like a lot of fun how do you make a permanent mold that I can pour melted steel into or melted brass into??
I was twelve when that came out and I remember watching it so much I wore out the VHS tape the film was great. The casting turned out great mate but got rather freaked out by those eye balls peaking through at the end! I jumped and the MRS, went what the Fudge! 🤣😁👍 Keep up the good work and I'll see you on the next one.

I've been wanting to see how one could do this. Tried casting my Jason hockey mask from the early 90s and it just would not fill cavities, and the mold would have.

You should try doing the "modified" Jason mask from Jason X cast in aluminum.
