Appreciate your videos, but this one seemed lacking. Looked like you put back the same pads that you took off. The EBC pads don't really fit right when new and usually need a little filing of the backing plate. Much harder to get the caliper back into position when new pads are installed. What about greasing the pin?

The red brake grease is for internal hydraulic components at assembly. "Rubber Grease" that is rubber and fluid inert. No reason to use it externally, it's not meant for that. A tiny smear of molybdenum if you are paranoid-but also not really necessary as the piston pushes-not slides- against the brake pad. You don't want anything that is lubricating near brake components. The rubber grease you use will just melt and run onto the disk then the pads.

    Thank you for this video.
I was bleeding and installing new break fluid for my rear break. It all went well (fluid and air bubbles came out), untill all of a sudden I lost rear break pressure. There is no sign of leaking but the pressure isn't still there. Any idea what causes this and how I can fix this?
    Many thanks in advance.

Why do we have to grease the back side of the inner brake pad? Thank you for the video.

How do you keep your wheels looking like new? I wash the bike with car shampoo including scrubbing the wheels but they just look dirty. Thanks for this video, now I I know how to change the pads!

Also now when I reinstalled the same pads, they looked ok so I didnt change them, the caliper wont go back on there isnt enough room,,, do I have to push the pistons back in and then put the pads back on and then reinstall. Im lost.. will the pistons stay down when I push them in

hi, do not put grease on the rear side of the pad but on the sides of the pads... its lubricate the sides of pad to move freely inside the brake caliper... thanks

Yes, I use it as a commuting bike to central London every day. Maintenance is very easy and cheap. Not the fastest bike obviously but very comfortable and pleasant to ride on long journeys. Go for it!!!

Useless film. A clip fits somewhere inside the calliper - usually falls out and this film doesn’t show you where it goes!. This film ignores the clip - a brakes accident waiting to happen!
