It was the greatest Comeback on all of Professional Sports history. This man was not merely suffering from back pain. Other people who know him said at one point he *even had extreme difficulty walking*. You can't go from having extreme difficulty just walking, a billion back surgeries in the process, all the psychological/emotional turmoil including psychological depression, *total self-induced public humiliation*, a publicly witnessed divorce, sponsors dropping you, fans leaving you, The Golf Channel criticizing you and iron clad haters guaranteeing that you will NEVER win single golf tournament ever again - then *rise like the phoenix* to win a 5th Green Jacket with your new "B+" Golf Game without the entire saga being the most epic Comeback Story in the history of all Professional Sports.
Let's be clear. Tiger Woods, did not have his "A" game out there this past weekend. He did not drive the ball exceptionally well. He made too many boggies on Sunday. Yet, he found a way to remain patient and allowed his Masters experience to win the championship for him by having exceptional iron play, consistent putting when and were it counted and being able to get up and down around the greens when it mattered most.
This is what a true Champion does. They find a way to Come Back when the world had counted them down and out.
The most Epic Comeback Story in Professional Sports I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. And, here's the most interesting part: It AIN'T over! This an Epic Comeback Story that has JUST BEGUN!
The PGA Championship STILL fits Tiger's new "B" game. The Masters Championship STILL fits Tiger's new "B" game. The British Open STILL fits Tiger's new "B" game. Only the US Open, given the massively long ball of Players like Tony Finau and several others, might be the one Championship that causes Tiger, serious trouble. But, the other three (3) Majors, over the course of the next 5 - 7 years are all within reach of Tiger.
If Tiger, brings his New "A" Game, then "Game Over." There is still nobody on Tour right now that has a better "A" game than Tiger Woods. The fact that he can still win a Major with his "B" game is nothing short of being UNREAL.

Golf is hard. A heck of a lot more things can go wrong than can go right.Masters tournament at Augusta is very hard. Tiger won against the best players, not really putting his best. Congrats to Tiger. I remember a lot of people saying he was done even before his back fusion like a year after he won 5 times on tour,... and I would think he may not dominate like in his prime but if ViJay, Mickelson, and Davis Love can win past 45 yrs old, if Tiger can piece together his body to make a decent swing he could win on the PGA tour in his 50's

Tiger's Masters win is a testimony to at least two major things: 1/ His incredible resolve, determination, and innate skills, combined with a complete knowledge of Augusta, and 2/ the improvements in Modern Surgery and Medical Practices (so long as one has the $$$$ to afford the best). The prognosis for athletes with major back surgery includes a fixed time period of best performance for most athletes; Tiger is doing the right thing to ease off his schedule, and to swing no harder than he has to, in order to keep the stress level down on his repaired back. Major #16 could be just around the corner!
