I've watched pretty much all of your tuning vids(on the Hilux) and am quite perplexed as to how you only achieved an additional 17% and roughly 20% increase over a standard tuning upgrade, yet this has a high flowing turbo/intercooler/exhaust set up. For the extra few $$$$ spend, it doesn't seem worth it, thou if you can afford it, well....
We haven't had an unsatisfied customer who has one of our turbochargers fitted to their vehicle. They may a huge difference in overall driveability, especially when towing.
they reckon no dpf delete needed but it really does remove a lot of tuning potential, even removing dpf without tuning and just using a module is noticeable especially fuel economy, went from 14L/100 on 33” tyres but now it sits on 11L/100
Hello rob, i was wondering wether you know a thing or 2, about chassis cabs. I have heard that a chassis cab, alows people to customise their cab layout, something that factory cab can't always offer. However i was wondering wether the chassis comes with the gear box, engine and drivers area already builte on, or would that be fitted with the custom cab.
I am considering buying a Toyota hiace 2.8 diesel, 2019 or later. Sure a little bit extra grunt is good, but what does a good tune do to the economy? Better I hope.
With the extra power & torque that we will achieve with a custom dyno tune, you will not have to apply the throttle as much anymore in order to get your vehicle to move as much as you did prior to the tune. It will be able to be driven with less throttle & less RPM in the driving cycle to achieve the same result (because torque will be now produced earlier in the RPM range due to the tune). So, for example, you may have been driving it at 100% throttle pressure (foot to the floor) to get it to go up hill properly when towing, but now (after we've tuned it) you will only need 50% throttle pressure to get up the hill - and the vehicle should also stay in the higher gear too instead of kicking down. Therefore, the less pressure on the throttle; the longer it'll stay in a higher gear & the less the engine will now rev; therefore less fuel will be injected into the engine & consumed to achieve the same result of getting up the hill, prior to the tune. Less engine revs due to the extra power from the tune uses less fuel - in most cases.
Great work Rob can't wait for you to do my hilux, just wondering what lift is in this one and i noticed it has rated recovery points with the standard bar could you tell me which recovery point's were used in this hilux?
Hey Rob mate, I've just picked up my 2018 and looking to get the same kit onto mine, but quick question, hows the reliability? Knowing Toyota, it will be good but how good with this kit installed? Thanks!! :)
Hey mate, great choice! Reliability is excellent. Our own Hilux is running this kit & has been for the past 3 years, no issues at all. Same with all the other ones we have fitted.
HI Joseph, no you don't. But it will zap power out of it - the bigger the tyre size, the more momentum/effort it takes for the driveline to spin the tyres to the ground, hence less power/torque.
Lol of course it affects warranty. Manufacturers will use any excuse to weasel out of a claim. If you fit third party engine components and change the factory tune, kiss your driveline warranty goodbye.
Sucks to own a Toyota then. Even at peak performance that's rubbish. Australian utes are really very ordinary. When is the penny going to drop with all these manufacturers?
Thats awesome mate, keep up the great videos. Have you got anyone in Sydney you would recommend on diesel tuning?

what tyres and offset rims do you have on blue boy
can you have this upgrade on your ps
Just wondering why this Hilux had only 87kw to start with?
Wheels too big.

@@XxSasuke114xX i can confirm this as my n80 is using 13.5L/100 on 32" tyres
Tyre specs?
Nice video but have done anything with a GWM yet and what are your thoughts on them thanks

not sure mate, that is not something that we deal with here at UDT.

Thanks mate. It's a customer's car so we do not know details on it.

Gee Rob I expected better gains than that, especially the expensive price for that package..
Standard fuel system remember. And this hasn't been tuned for maximum power & torque gains either!
What offset it that?
what is the tire ? and what size is it?
Not sure as it's a customers car that we tuned a while ago now. We deal with too many cars to remember details like that sorry
What's the suspension set up on that ute
Not sure sorry mate as it's a customer's rig - we didn't perform the suspension work to it.
how high is your boost, rpm and rich fuel ratio is that compare to standard
That all varies depending on how we tune each vehicle. We have different targets for those types of things.
Do I need to retune when I fit 33” to my Hilux?

Awesome video Rob, are you able to ship the ultimate torque package to Mexico? Or do you know anyone in Mexico that does diesel tuning? Cheers, mate!
No sorry mate!
What is the lift and wheels/tire specs ?
Not sure, it's a customer's Hilux.
Does Toyota still warranty the 3 of the Toyota 5 year drive train ?
Be a shame customer loose the last 3 years Toyota warranty how’s that work mate 👍
Warranty is not affected mate
@@UltimateDieselTuning cheers mate thank you 👍
