I love how Makoto, the leader of Gehenna, is depicted as both strong and weak at the same time, she's a charismatic schemer, but she also doesn't think things through or fumble the execution of said plans
This is such a perfect description of her; she has the full firepower of the Pandemonium Society behind her, but all her scheming falls apart as soon as she tries to execute any of her plans. I completely understand why some folks enjoy her absurd antics, she's a walking comedy-of-errors in everything she does (and her adoration of Ibuki is extremely relatable!)
Hello, new viewer here. I got recommended this stream and watched it as a VOD and am very glad I did. You have a bubbly personality, your energy and laughter are contagious. You add a lot of flavour to the voice lines and it was a pleasure to go through this beautiful story once again with your adaptation. Please keep this up, this was a lovely experience and I look forwards to more !
OH man. Another one in the pile of Peak Archive. Hina bros feast like kings. Makoto in despair at the end. Beautiful performance to tie it all up. 10/10 event and stream.
That was absolutely incredible, I don't know how they managed to make so many unique areas to explore (and have such a wonderful ending to a chaotic few days in Gehenna!!) Bless the animators for making this all come together, I'm so happy that this event finally reached the Global Server!!
I'm surprised that Hina is shown to be very accommodating to Makoto's demands. Yes, she gripes about them whenever possible and would probably shoot them down if they were wholly unreasonable, but if Makoto makes some semblance of propriety in her demands, then Hina is shown to be okay with going along with it. I don't know where Makoto got it in her mind that Hina is completely belligerent to her and is constantly planning to usurp her authority constantly saying that she would just ignore her demands. Ako is more the type to just brush off and be wholly aggressive towards the Pandemonium Society no matter what they demand.
I suspect it's more that the Prefect Team is such a visible presence in Gehenna and literally everybody knows Hina, who's grown quite a reputation for herself, that Makoto sees her as a threat to her authority as the PS is not as well known to the general population and is often working more in the background. And it is made out a few times in the story that the Prefects act as a kind of a stop gap to Makoto's more outrageous plans, which prevent her from going full Cherino, with Hina being the team's face and thus Makoto's chief nemesis - irrespective of how Hina herself is and prefers to conduct herself in face of all the shenanigans she has to deal with. Really, Makoto's just paranoid as her entire approach to any situation is to scheme like a villain and expects everybody to be the same.
Loved watching this! Just a shame we can't see the curtain call bits as there are some fantastic moments in there. But it's understandable since they seem to be daily. Always enjoy Yumie-sensei hanging out with her students!

EDIT: I've been playing through Curtain Call off stream, and it looks like this event is time gated, so I wouldn't have been able to play this on stream regardless! I'll still grab some screenshots to show later, and I'll make a pinned comment, since there's been some confusion about that in the comments!
Thank you for the stream! It was fun to watch the antics of the Pandemonium society. I really do hope them and the Prefect Team would get along some day (even though that would be antithetical to the nature of Gehenna as a whole). Your VODs have been helping me catch up with BA’s lore on the side while I do work. Your voice acting is phenomenal and your reactions to certain story beats are really enjoyable. From wat i heard, the story telling in chibi form is experimental. Since people like it, they implement it in future main story. So my theory is in future story telling its not just visual nover style but with a mix of chibi animation added.
These streams are always amazing, every event I just do the materials missions and wait for your streams do I can play along. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised to see an open world hub during the event, I thought it was a fan made at first, I wish we get to explore other schools like this eventually
Throughout this event I gave Makoto a months worth of after school detention and a parent teacher conference. I need BA to lrt me be a real teacher sometimes instead of just altruistic all the time, like let me gentle teacher some of these menaces. Fun fact: It is foreshadowed that Hina knows how to play the piano, she just hasnt done it in some time. Makoto has 2 good traits: Doting on Ibuki and being voiced by Yuu Asakawa
I think this event does a good job at making you like the pandemonium girls, honestly the hina parts were kinda the worst(not bad just worst) parts of the event, it's just the same stuff you usually see with her. The hina rpg was neat, and it'd be cool to get something like that with alice and the gamers. The translation has been kinda bad in this event though, lots of typos and stuff like mizz hina not being a decent way of doing hinachi, which I think they translated as hinature previously and works better, since kirara doesn't really respect nor fear hina like the other gehenna girls do, she just treats her like she's any other student.
The event does good job showing the funny dynamic of pandemonium girls, and honestly saying that "hina parts were the worst" about the event that is centered on her is kinda funny, it's like saying "man nvm the main meal I want the side crumbs" if that even makes sense. And it is not really "the same stuff you usually see with her" because the RPG itself literally shows you how she spends her day at Gehenna with interacting with her club members or people that are outside of the club members, while also showing how much of a caretaker she is as a person, a direct opposite of their summer event. That is why saying "hina rpg was neat" and "hina parts were the worst" at the same time doesn't even make sense even if you mean that the RPG mechanic itself was fun. And there arent really other options to choose someone as a main character to play the RPG event since she is literally the most relevant character in that school (I mean lore wise not IRL). It would sure be cool to use the same mechanic for other schools, but in your example they can probably only use Alice and not the rest of the gang and Alice would do some random adventures in the school, which I would say "man the Millennium RPG event was cool but Alice parts were the worst because she does the same usual thing, doing random things as 'adventure' ", if you know what I mean. There were so many mistranslations that I stopped caring about it at some point, and translating "Hinacchi" to "Mizz Hina" wasn't really a good choice because it still has honorifics even if its supposed to be a playful nickname. They made this event to both remind that Hina is still relevant in the game (she got her second alt/event after 2.5 years) and to introduce her to new players who will fall in love with her and pull for her, which was quite successful. Saying that "the event does a good job making you like pandemonium girls and hina parts were bad" is just objectively wrong and you can see that if you see people's reaction to the event.
@Ylaid the hina parts don't add anything to her, she doesn't have any interesting interactions with anyone really, the most you get is her thinking kirara is a weirdo for treating her like a normal student. They could've used it to have the prefect team actually interact for more than one line of dialog but they didn't, the prefect team as a whole is probably the worst club in the game as an actual club. I didn't say anything about playing as someone else during the chibi parts, though I think if they ever do a gehenna chapter they need to put in as little hina in it as possible, she's already been focused on in 2 story chapters and multiple events and they aren't gonna do much with her they already haven't done.

I didn't think it was badly written or anything, the only time I've thought the writing was flat out bad in ba is vol 1 chapter 3, but I wouldn't put this as my favorite event or anything, just a pretty decent one. I just think the hina parts could've been done better.
@@cier5158 Don't even bother talking to that person I just realized they are the same person I saw on Twitter or an echo of him These type of people will say "V1C3 was the worst and Hoshino's character is ruined" when they are literally Mika's biggest fan, a character who is less complex yet done worse in her own story Their reason for saying that "V1C3 writing was terrible" is because Hina got involved. The guy literally says "The Prefect Team is the worst club in the game" like do you expect him to have unbiased opinions?
