  • What happens when you combine tempura paint, a horse, and a free afternoon for the Bar SZ Wrangler crew? You end up with a skeleton painted on a horse to educate our wranglers! Join us as Michelle walks us through the skeletal system of a horse in the COOLEST way possible - by painting each piece of the skeleton onto our very patient horse, Deuce. Michelle explains how each of the bones move together as the horse walks and trots and why it’s so important to know the anatomy of your horse as a rider. You’ll even get to see Kailey ride Deuce while the bones are painted on so you can see how the rider sits on top of the horse’s skeletal system!

    Hi,
    Good job on painting & presentations.
    A request: SLOW MOTION
    aerial view atop bareback horse
    focusing on movement of shoulders/ legs.
    Timing of giving cues for say a turn on hindquarters.
    Also, timing of cues for backing if horse not standing square ( equal weight on both fronts).
    Thanks

    They're forgetting 1, it goes in front of the shoulders, the spinal chord start in front of the shoulders and starts on bottom and then goes up and then finishes to the top all the way back to the rear end. They forgot that 1.

    Why you say the horse just have 16 ribs? They have 8 pairs of true ribs and 10 Pairs off floating ribs so total 18..

    • @BarSZRanch
      @BarSZRanch  3 года назад

      Great observation and thanks for watching! We were speaking of the 8 non-floating ribs equalling 16.
