I'm an Architecture student, and this do help me understand the topic and learn some ways on how to apply practically this information. Thank you!

When I'm actually on the site looking at a hilly landscape as shown by you at 2:20 min, how do I measure the altitude there to actually determine the areal that will be shaded at a certain time and date? Are there tools or procedures to ensure precise measurement, especially in a hilly environment?
How do I measure the altitude on the site so I know where to put my house?
Thanks for the great content, bro!

I would actually advise using a program like sketchup to see this as calculating it would be very difficult. On sketchup you can model the hill and then set the sun settings to the location and time and it will create accurate shadows.
If you did want to calculate it you would essentially have to do triganometry (using your altitude angle), to calculate the length of the shadow.

Question, do you not see the irony in making a video on how the light source “effects” (I think you meant ‘affects’) your designs, when your own light source was so badly placed that instead of illuminating what you’re drawing and writing, it effectively casts the shadow of your hand over it?
Seriously, not trying to bash you, I’m honestly curious.

I do see the irony lol, at this time i had a very small desk and found it almost impossible to set up the tripod in a way i could film me drawing. Was trying a new angle but after this video realised it wasn’t very good. Also thanks for the correction you are correct ill change the title.

@@Imranesm I see, I thought you had gone with the ‘what not to do’ approach 😂 👍🏼
