Make sure Text-To-Speech and Speech Recognition is supported on your smartphone. One thing you can do is try testing the app in another phone/device... It works fine for me.

Yes, first you need to click the Microphone Button and then you can start talking.

I uncheck the UseLegacy of SpeechRecognizer1 but not correct the problem. Your example works by mic, the first part I don´t know what is the problem.
