Syed Balkhi is an institution. How can a young man be this impressive? Like. Wow! I'm banging the table in excitement. Totally inspired.
This is the best episode I've ever listened to. Congrats on this one guys. Syed is the ultimate goal in terms of business for me (probably for a lot of us too).
💯 agree
As an immigrant from Pakistan and Cricket fanatic, this was amazing and motivational. Thanks for putting this together
What an epic podcast. Great work guys! Grateful to hear the stories of guys like Syed
One of the rare exceptional episodes
Last episode was fire too though
Rare? Please include the link to your podcast please Mr. Backseat Driver

This got me pumped. Probably one of my favorite MFM pods in a while. It's interesting how those I know who are successful business owners also buy small business for specific things they want in life. For example, my cousin wanted to buy a new house. Said he would only do it if he bought a new business to cover the cost of the monthly payment. Similar to Syed buying the gas station when he had his son.
Loved this episode. We need a part 2 asap
This is jam packed with value. Thank you for this
Mohnish Pabrai’s book -> The Dhando Investor: Low-Risk Value Method to High Returns 32:22
Thank you!
This is one of the best, most valuable episodes ever 🚀
Great pod! Great story! Thanks Shaan and Sam, this has been truly inspiring!
Gold! Great story, particularly on the atypical route of bootstrapping around an ecosystem/thesis. This gets drowned out by all the venture backed approaches/frameworks. Thanks Syed for being so frank and generous with your story!
25 minutes in. Solid episode so far. Syed is great!
Certainly is. Smart dude
I listened TWICE to this podcast. Rare gems!!
Money is not meant to control people, rather it is meant to be put to work producing more money for you. You cannot build wealth without putting money in its rightful place.
First profit grew rapidly and that has made me invest without the fear of losing, I got four of my friends that I introduce to him and they are making profits just like me..
cant believe this info is free!!
thank you!
What a podcast, amazing story. Need him to be back on the show!
Probably the most fascinating guest of the pod so far.
this must be the best episode on this channel. I haven't listened to all of them but I can't imagine there be a better episode on here. impossible!
Man this one had so much knowledge, I gotta watch this a 2nd time
Wow. One of the best MFM podcasts. Thank you, Syed Balkhi for this great info.
Amazing insights in this one with Syed, came back from his second one and this one is impressive!
Absolutely amazing podcast. Syed is a gem!
Let’s get both this guy and Andrew Wilkinson on the pod at the same time. Would be a great episode
Wow! That would be 🔥🔥🔥
Love the pod :) one of the better ones ^^
Great episode, very much needed. 🕯️
I give Thanks.
This episode is the reason I subscribed to this channel! 🙏
That's a banger. We need more Syed.
I thought that was Keegan Michael key from key and Peele in a wig and glasses on the thumbnail
Potential GOAT episode
Love this podcast You guys are great !!!
Excellent episode. Loved the talk of his ealry days working with WP to the present day AI tools and strategy tips. As someone else mentioned, this epside reminds me of all the dabbling I did when I was younger but never really pursued one thing. Nonetheless, it was so insightful and inspiring. Thanks guys!
Another great episode! Kudos!
Such amazing content!!! I loved your question about distressed assets at 37min. The distinction given by Syed on mismanaged gems vs distressed assets was significant. Mismanaged compounders would make for excellent acquisitions.
This episode got me fired up! 🔥
another great story well done guys for this one very interesting and has a lot of great information.
Wonderful to know you Saeed ! We need to rename this pod : my first inspiration...
Awesome podcast guys!
I love this episode. Very inspiring 🤙🙌
Love this guy! Well done guys!
Amazing episode
Impressive video. I started a bit late (graduated from my doctorate program at age 30 in 2016 with 170k in school loan debt). Managed to pay off my debt by 2019 and currently have a house and 250k total in investments (combo of profit share, 401k and a brokerage account). I'm not very knowledgeable in investing, so I just have my investing currently in index funds mainly voo, but have been putting a lot into schd the past few months. I dunno if that's the optimal strategy, but psychologically it is very set it and forget it, and prevents me from obsessing over individual stock performance.
I’m thinking of doing the same but not sure if I should use different brokerage accounts? Just Curious. Pros and cons?
Instead of using different brokerage accounts to purchase index funds or individual stock, compare your age(s) and how much time you have estimated till retirement, you can also opt to consulting/working with a fund manager/advisor for an “optimal strategy” to outperform the bear market...
Sounds great. I could really use the expertise of an advisor, just can’t find while I’m away for work in New Zealand for another year. My portfolio has been stagnant.... Who’s the person guiding you can I get a phone number?
Do your due diligence and opt for one that has tactics to help your portfolio continue consistent and steady growth. Eric Thomas Witt is accountable for the success of my portfolio, and I believe he has the qualifications and expertise to accomplish your objectives!!
Thanks, I just googled him, and I'm really impressed with his credentials. I reached out to him since I need all the assistance I can get.
Great episode I really enjoyed it 🎉
These conversations open up your mind to what’s possible. Something you wouldn’t have if you haven’t built your network yet. Thanks make entrepreneurship less lonely.
Syed is the definitive MFM guest. What a G.
Absolute legend. Best episode yet 👊
Amazing episode!
Now, it's a lot simple to go from nothing to hundreds of millions (if that's something you want)
I appreciate this episode and the chance to learn from Syed.
No riba (interests) 👏🏾👏🏾 that's why he pays cash, no mortgages
wish he mentioned this! so many muslims are involved with riba because they gave up on trying to live the halal way

You guys are exceptional all around but please don’t speed up the sound
Awesome episode!
This was a master class on investing and entrepreneurship.
One of the most open and transparent insights in entrepreneurship.
Fantastic episode
amazing podcast!
Ok, this podcast has to be the best podcast in the entrepreneurship space!
Loved it!
One of my top episodes
I love Sam, I do, but the kind of questions Shaan is asking is just phenomenal. That helps in unearthing a lot of the story.
20:33 Best Part/Secret. Got to know him better in this candid episode compared to other videos of him. Best Wishes.
This dude saved thousands of dollars for people with his wpbeginner..first time I see him on any video🙌
Great questions!
Great interview
This guy is the final boss of Indian gas station owners 😂
No he isn’t. There is a guy in New Jersey he is Indian and is a billionaire from gas stations.

@@Biz1Biz1dnbprofile-cs7od I stand corrected
Thank you!!
28:00 What are some of those verticals fam? and more importantly where can I find them to sell to lol.
That was a very great interview. I wish he could go into more details about the cash flow from the tools that he purchased. Like what those tools are, and how do they earn money. If anyone has any information, I appreciate it
My mentor has the same story except enterprise Salesforce sites and MS. founded in 2019 sold January 2023 for $135m. He just turned 29.
Crazy. What’s his name?
Great episode
Best guest so far
What a gem!
great pod
So many gems here 💎💎💎
34:55 - ID the gaps and you can profit
38:35 - biz buying strategy
Loved this episode. gotta put his name in the title and work on that 5 second autoplay though.
What camera does Sam and Shaan use?
Loved the episode, nice guys can win - ultimate alpha!
The “fun creative cashflow things” that he wouldn’t talk about need an episode 59:01
How does one get invited to camp MFM?
What is the name of the bank he bought?
Feeling the same vibe from him like Martin Shkreli
Why is there a RUclips playbutton of list25 hanging😂
I did search for Syed's net worth as mentioned at the end and was surprised that even though I didn't know who he was, that I'd been using some of his wp plug ins for years! 😊
What this guy has done is extremely impressive in just about every measure. That said I couldn't help but notice how his investment approach could in some sense be flawed.
He says that whenever he has a new expense come up he needs to make a new investment that generates enough cash flow to cover this new expense, but this then implies that he wasn't actually fully invested in the first place, or at least wasn't invested in a way that would generate him the best possible return. He implies that he would have money laying around to invest in something that would generate enough of a return to cover this new monthly burn, which is obviously not great because you would be leaving money on the table by having this money laying around waiting to be invested in the first place.
The more general and correct approach would be to simply always be invested in a way where you cannot find any higher risk adjusted return than what you currently have, and then simply decide how much you want to spend of your income. If a new cost is coming up and you take that on you, then you have decided that its worth it.
Great episode. Thanks.
respect to syed
I remember when Syed bought his first Honda😂 He talked my head off about HOW he did it.
This guy is a different level - would love to pick his brain more - great podcast
7:55 my favorite thing about him so far is that he looks like a young Chevy Chase.
What an amazing guy
1:03:21 if she needs a bed, she’s not for me!
Great chat with an under the radar dude 😮
Epic!
Great pod! As always you guys bring the best Guest and questions. i love Mfm! But let the guy finish what he is saying before you intervene with a painting the picture story” felt like we lost some of what he was saying.
I would listen to a Syed Balkhi + Andrew Wilkinson episode 10 times
His "no mortgages, no debt" comment around time 53:30 - if you have 10 year debt taken out at 3% on 200 units, coming due for a refi right about now at 7% or 8% (or worse), maybe you need THAT kind of 'moment of clarity' to understand what Syed implies.
Leverage is a double edged sword. In economic shocks, you don't want to lose your assets at the worst time. It's extremely comfortable saying "sure business is slow but no one's coming to take this from me and wipe out all the equity and the time I spent"
Also, Syed's avoidance of 'limelight seeking' can work. "Anonymity is priceless - once it's gone, you cannot buy it back"
If you like your privacy which Syed seemingly does, knowing you can go anywhere and not be recognized is very nice. Having people interrupt you when you're at dinner with family, some people might be okay with that, but after a few times, with no control over who might approach you, would not be cool (if you like privacy).
.
This podcast rocks 💪🪨🤜🤛
No debt. Awesome, awesome, awesome. Full life of freedom.
1:14:06 Crazy, 10 years ago I was in tribal Easter Afghanistan/Pakistan at border security point 6 and 7 fighting Haqqani network from Pakistan, dodging rockets - while this awesome dude made himself a billi 😅😅😅How the turn tables. Goodnight from Alaska boys, Syed is awesome!!
This is epic 🙏🙏
This video reminds me of all the dabbling I did when I was younger but never really pushed on it. So much lost opportunity UGH.
