I have thoroughly enjoyed my NeedOne 300ct. Super easy to set up and experienced the same 80% reading you did using the distilled water method. The flexibility of the shelves is spot on. I actually moved the drawer to the top, so the little light is a bit more effective. 😆 I do share your position on the lock and wish they had included one. Otherwise, I would highly recommend these humidors and will totally buy another when the time comes. Thanks Tim! 🙌🏼
I recently purchased this 300 ct. I too noticed with distilled water my humidity is 88%.
Just ordered 23L needone, can't wait to get it. Thanks for these great tips and videos, they did help me with my decisions!
Thanks again!
Joe
I’m sure you’ll love the unit like I do! Thanks for stopping by the channel, for leaving a comment, and enjoy your journey!
I have had this same unit for about 4 months now and it holds my 67° & 67% perfectly. Great review
Thank you!
What RH packs (size/brand/RH) are you using to keep it there?
I'm using Integra Boost 450 gram 67% packs now that it's seasoned. It's a plant based gel that's salt free and works flawlessly!
@@CigarShowTim Thanks, how's it holding up?
It's holding rock solid between 66/67 Rh.
Thanks for this review, helped me set mine up. Love it! Good job on the review. New follower.
Thank you for the sub, and I appreciate you commenting!
Always enjoy the videos.I hope to invest in one of these humidors here in about another year.A couple of my buds have them and luv them.#KeepItLIT 🔥🔥💨💨💨
Looks like it would be nice if those 2 trays had a bit of a lip on it to keep cigars stacked from falling when you pull out the tray. Very cool review, thanks for sharing 👊✌️💨
Just purchased this as my first humidor- thanks for the in depth review! I’m thinking about using humidity beads (soaking them in distilled water) to season. Can I also use the beads to maintain humidity I saw another video on your channel using the beads to season but then you took them out after.
I’m sure you’ll love the unit like I do. Yes, you can use the beads permanently after seasoning. That’s what I’ve switched to in all my humidors.
@@CigarShowTimany particular reason for using beads and not boveda packs?
I have the 16L version of this, on amazon they have a Needone drawer that can replace the shelves. So in mine i switched out the one shelve that came with mine and now have two drawers to hold all of my sticks. I like to keep my RH at 65%
That’s awesome! I bought a drawer for one of my other Needone units as well.
@@CigarShowTim65 on the face and 72 on the hygrometer. Please advise. Just us distilled water.
@@christopherthomas1338 65 is the temperature that it is at, and if it's at 72 on the hygrometer then it will be fine since it is at 65 degrees. It will come down in a few days after you put cigars in it. Nothing to worry about.
Great review, Tim!
Thanks! I wanted to be thorough for anyone really looking to buy one, but not too thorough to be boring.
Nice review Tim
I want to get this… but I don’t have too many cigars, yet… what would you suggest the humidity should be?…. Thanks 😊
I run my humidors at 68% rH personally.
Once seasoned with distilled water, what do you use to maintain humidity? Can you use distilled water in the plastic container?
Absolutely you can. You can use humidification packets like Integra boost also.
Do you continue to use he integraboost after seasoning? or do you use the plastic container provided with distilled water? Thanks!
I only use Integra Boost in my humidors after seasoning with the exception of my 300 count humidor. I use a cigar oasis to assist the Integra Boost in my 300 count
I can put way more than 150 cigars in my humidor just like that one but I bought three more drawers online
That’s the best upgrade to maximize space for sure! Nicely done!
I did have to shave the top drawer down so it would slide in
Hello and thanks for the video, I can't get my 23L to higher than 65% humidity. Anything I can do? I have a 69% Boveda in it.
Watch this video and try this method. I’ve found it to be very stable. Use Orbeez in your humidor?! | Featuring the King Chii 26L Humidor and Luciano Cigars

You can buy those drawers online I have four of them in mine
Where at?
@flybygaming9678 Amazon has them if you search Needone humidor drawer. a.co/d/5LNLQvY
Plugged in
Not turning on.. is there any trick here?
I’d reach out to customer service. You may have received a dud somehow. First I’ve heard of this happening.
I just got mine and can’t get the temperature to go up at all it stays at 65 to 67 even tho I have it set on 70 to 74 just testing it I keep my cigars around 68 degrees and 68% RH and mine is just cooling no heating
I’m not sure. It may be the room it’s setup in. The couple degrees difference between 65 and 68 won’t hurt them at all.
@@CigarShowTim thanks for the reply and yes it could be the room I didn’t think about that
How much trust do you have in the hygrometer it came with?
It's so so to be honest. It is usually off by about 5-7%
I threw a separate little hygrometer that reads like 8% lower so I just kinda been guessing it's somewhat close to the middle of that. Thanks for the vid an reply.
Ya that sounds about right. Thank you for your support and enjoy your journey!
does the hygrometer come calibrated already?
Mine have all come accurate within 2-3%
I've seen my needone humidor to 69° and it only stays at 64 does any one know how to fix it ?
I've read about a couple rare times where the unit glitches. I'd reach out to customer service and see what they say.
I just got mine from Amazon and after first week I guess my thermostat took a crap.... won't go higher than 66 degrees now.... I'm pissed... amazon sending another one free of charge........ anyone else have any problems at all ???? Oh yeah the digital hygrometer it comes with isn't accurate at all...
I'm in the same boat. There sending a new unit. I am going to open the one with the bad thermostat and try and source a new one to fix it. That's what brought me here to RUclips. Looking for someone who may have fixed it. Cheers, Mike
The Light Sucks I just use a flashlight
I’m at 65 on the face off it but the hygro reads 73.
The 65 on the front face is the temperature of the unit. What is the humidity at the tray hygrometer? Is that what's reading at 73?
The hygrometer is not very accurate I bought a way more expensive one to put in there
If you need to get rid of any factory odor why on earth would you place the Baking Soda or newspaper in the fridge!! Other than that, with all of the humidor's that I've had I NEVER found the need, and also thought it laughable, to have a lock on any of them! Are you actually in fear of someone steeling any of your cigars?
They neutralize and absorb the odor.
@@CigarShowTim Uh... yes, I'm fully aware of that. But just how would Baking Soda, and or newspaper do any good in neutralizing odor from the humidor if, as per the instructions, you place the Baking Soda or newspaper in the _fridge_ rather than in the humidor! That's akin to saying that if your car is in need of gas that you should put the gas in your lawnmower!
I did have to shave the top drawer down so it would slide in
