I liked the aerial shots of the town. Looks like a nice area. I was interested in the control system. I wasn't expecting the "swash plate" to be inside the mast support tube. It's an interesting design. I'll have to look into it more to see exactly how that works. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome. Cant wait to see the cyclic & collective flight controls work every thing to the main rotor head pitch movement , as well as watch the anti-torque pedals operate the tail rotor pitch movement. Cant wait to count the gear ratio from the main rotor to the tail rotor gear box. Nob well done

The best who made videos about helicopter manufacturing on RUclips honestly Keep going, champ. I am a big fan of accuracy in work and quality But it was missing this passage. Try the main joystick after you've belonged to the installation. We were hoping to see how the joystick performed after it was tied to the center of the movement above the helicopter. Like you did with hatk's previous video when you move it right, left, up and down. my warm greetings for you 😘💞👍🏻
I hate to criticize anyone’s hard work but out of concern for safety it looks like your flapping(teetering) angle is not big enough. I could be wrong but it only looks like a few degrees. A UH-1 has a flapping angle closer to 15 degrees and a bell 206 is around 11.
7:07 I'm a little concerned about that welded transverse rod (blade control master horn) that the pitch links are bolted to. Those welds would be a big no no for me, you're betting your life on 2 welds. It would be much safer if this was one piece. I'm basing this on 26 years of maintaining commercial airliners and 35 years of building RC helicopters.
@ John O, thanks for your constructive comment, yes i think also the welded outward pieces of the blade control master horn should have been bended, not welded, looking back from now... I will do a update on this along the way...
Do you believe the teeter will be enough to release the stress from the advancing blade as it rises? The CG of the advancing blade will move inboard to the point of rotation because it does rise. This causes the blade to accelerate but it cannot because of the semi ridged nature of the rotor system. Do you feel a lead-lag hinge will be necessary?
I don’t have any engineering degrees but there’s a bit of things about that design and executions of designs that doesn’t sit right with me.. I see a lot of weak points as well and most majorly .. not wire locking the nuts and bolts
Did you purchased the plans or you made all the plans yourself. anyway I must admit I am impressed by your craftsman ship. I really liked your plans and i want to build a helicopter in my back yard. I am anxiously waiting when you are going to build rotor blades.
the total weight of the machine and pilot are carried by those two tiny needle bearings, and in fact most of the time by only 4 or so needles, and in fact the same 4 or so needles most of the time. They must wear into the needle housing in short order. I think
Hy George. The Pilot Control inputs get translated from non-rotating to rotating motion to the Main Rotor Head through the "swashplate" as known in most helicopters. My build has quite a different solution. The control unit to translate the Pilot input from non-rotating to rotating motion is hidden in the Main Rotor Mast. You can see how i build this Main Rotor Control System (Part 13 of the Series) on my Channel.
I belive the cental control bar can have a certain degree of inclination out of the vertical line, which would be equivalent to the swashplate. Anyway, it seems to be not enough inclination. In adition, im not sure if he has though about gyroscopic precession but, we'll see
Мда! Судя по качеству обработки оси перекоса с 3.47 , игольчатому подшипнику жить не долго, и я ещё раз убеждаюсь, что самодельный вертолёт это билет в одну сторону.

Yes its quite a different "swash plate". I think some enstrom helicopters have it to. Thanks for your support.....
Wish I had someone like you as a neighbor
I always wait for the next video until the success of your first flight.
Thanks Sir, im glad you like it...

Wait, how are you going to get cyclic independent control to the blade grips? I can see collective but not cyclic.
