In reality, it wasn't Rarity's fault at all. Applejack's parents were kind folks who'd help anypony (At least I think.). It was only bad luck that her parents died.
I know how Applejack feels. I lost my uncles within only 10 months of each other. They we're both like my fathers so I know what it feels like. A giant whole in your chest that you can't fill in at all
