Bengals fan from the Bay. What Robert Saleh did during his tenure as 49ers DC was quite impressive. I think his stint as Jets head coach showed that he's better fit as a DC than a HC. I think he would be a great fit and would energize the Cincy DEF with his defensive schemes.

Hell, I'm sure he hired Zac not because of his credentials but he came from a couple years with Sean McVay (not an OC even under him) and was cheap. Burrow is pissed at Zac (lots of reported conflict between him and Zac). Burrow knows when the team not ready to play and loses its first 2 or this year 3 games their playoff chances go to 11% or less. At 1-4 their chances were 2%. Joe has mentioned they will find out who you can depend on (when they lost to go to 4-8) and who you cant. He wasnt talking just about players but i'm sure he meant coaches as well.

Good players leave every team every year. D.J. Reader coming off the knee injuries is a run stuffer but no longer the pass rusher he was with us. The screw up was letting Jessie Bates and Joe Mixon walk and not deciding one way or the other on Higgins. Zak Taylor is getting a pass for his own screw-ups like the New England and KC games. Whoever coaches the defense should have full control of the draft guaranteed in his contract.
What happened to them playing like they did in 21 and 22, I know good players were let go, but they all still need to be on the same page. They all need more discipline and no more trash mouth.

Al Gordon would be a good option but he is not the choice that the Bengals need they need Robert Saleh he would be able to get in these faces of these defensive players and get the most out of their skills. I mean, just look what he did for the 49ers for five seasons they were top five and almost every category. Saleh turned the Jets defense from one of the worst in the league to one of the best at one point. I feel that if he wasn’t fired so early in the season that the Jets would be in a better spot. Would love to see him coach the Bengals. Our biggest obstacle is the front office. It’d be so simple to get this right

What about Robert Livingston... he was the DB coach under Lou Anarumo back when the team played in the Super Bowl and he's been the defensive coordinator for Univ of Colorado with Coach Prime since then... he's worked wonders at Colorado... and he has a history with the Bengals. I think... Livingston is the most likely candidate.
Livingston was the first person who came to my mind as well. He's young and has been successful at Colorado. The way I understand, it was when he left, the defense started to fall off.

Zac Taylor QUICKLY Fired those Assistant Coaches to SAVE his LAME ass. HE IS THE #1 CATALYST after Ownership & the General Manager.
While I agree with some of the firings, I disagree with firing Lou. First, DJ Reader should have been extended. Letting DJ Reader go goes beyond Lou and into the front office. Lou cannot be blamed for injuries either. While they righted the ship in the end, it was too little too late. And yes, the offensive line coach should have been fired!
