Have you ever been to Kolkata? If not then "ana bhi maat". Joke is one thing, but ridiculing a city is so uncool. By the way your jokes are not even funny.

I'm Bengali but do not live in Bengal. I feel sad when I hear colleagues and people who've never been to Bengal think that its like Bangladesh, which also they've never visited. Their perception that Kolkata and West Bengal is Muslim dominated etc etc is so far from the truth. I was in a hostel near Park Street during Christmas'21 and the festive feeling was amazing. There may have been less than 1% Christians in the crowd, but everyone was celebrating like it was their own festival and a super ratio of men & women. Every state has its problems, and I got mixed feelings when I was in Cal. Food is just too good, and very reasonable.

Love it totally. One more fun fact, Uber driver in Kolkata will ask what is the mode of payment even before my destination. If it is online payment, they will disconnect the phone and trip will go for an eternal search 😊. And yes, u are so right abt the Kolkata night life, it truly ends at 8:30, cuz last metro is at 9:45 😅

I live in Kolkata. I didn't face this as repeatedly as a week's stay in Bengaluru. It was so recurrent there that I had to change my default mode to Cash.

This happens when you don't live a city, in this case Kolkata and guess we are listening from a person of perhaps 2nd generation of the family! 😉 By the way, you should try the same after settling and making a living in Mumbai or Bengaluru. I have travelled all over India and entire world. Kolkata was the best of all, as all people are very helpful. Please do not make fun about the city and people,

Being a bengali and a resident of Kolkata I will only say did we forget 2019 some PIECEful breaking trains, 2021 people got killed because they were bjp supporters and Supreme Court ordered a CBI enquiry
