    @MrTiikys Your 4 channel amplifier would be best to use with 4 door speakers (1 speaker for each channel). If you're also looking to install multiple subwoofers, I'd recommend a separate Monoblock amplifier as well. You can also use a 5-channel amplifier which will power four door speakers and a subwoofer(or two).

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @iggy1008 There could be quite a few things causing your door speaker and subwoofer not to function. If the amplifiers are properly turning on, they may not be outputting signal correctly. You may want to check your speaker wiring, and also check for any inconsistent ground connections. Ground connections are extremely important to making your amplifiers function correctly. If the amps are turning on, but no sound from the speakers than it may be the speaker wiring

    If you are adding an amplifier to some door speakers, then yes they will sound much better. You will be giving them proper power which will reduce distortion at higher volumes. Your speakers will really liven up with a 4-channel amp.

    Thanks! We are working on some more videos for amplifiers and hope to get them up soon. We are starting with the basics, but have plans for some more technical videos in the future.

    @FlowzTheRhythm There are multiple ways you can do this. However, it is usually easier to use as few amps as possible for installation purposes. It is possible to run one 5 channel amplifier depending on how powerful the subwoofers are. You can however, use 2 channel amplifiers and bridge them to obtain more power for subwoofers.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @FourthBattalion That should be a perfect matchup. If the amp pushes 300 watts RMS at 4 Ohms bridged then it will perfectly power the 300w RMS subwoofer, and it will be a clean add-on to your system. If you crank it hard you'll be able to hear it clearly outside of the car, but it's not going to shake windows outside of your car.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  11 лет назад

    An aftermarket headunit can often run 4 speakers so you do not need to purchase another amplifier for them. You will need an amplifier to run the subwoofer(s) though. You can connect the subs to the amp and your speakers to the radio.

    @Blaze7757 Assuming your MTX TR5512's are Single 4ohm.. One of the better amplifier we carry that will produce 800 watts at 2ohms is the Infinity KAPPA ONE. It is a very efficient high quality class D amplifier that will run great on just about any electrical system.

  • @Coop772
    @Coop772 11 лет назад

    Just to confirm, if I were to get a new system in my vehicle a higher quality amplifier would help the clarity even at low db levels? I don't listen to my music loudly, I just want it to be sharper and clearer at the low level. It's not just the speakers, the amp would help with this function?

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @cwangtities11111 It depends on some factors. Do you have a Dual 2 ohm subwoofer or Dual 4 ohm subwoofer? Are you referring to 100 watts Max or 100 watts RMS? If you have a Dual 2 ohm subwoofer then go with the Kicker DX250.1. If you have a Dual 4 ohm subwoofer go with the Kicker DX300.2, this will leave you an extra channel which means you can run two subs on this amplifier.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @dre37able The Massive Audio N2 will have a total RMS output of 800 watts while the Rockford Fosgate T500-1bd will have a total RMS output of 500 watts. Due to this the Massive Audio amp will be more powerful than the Rockford Fosgate amp. Both amps are CEA-2006 Compliant so you will be getting accurate power, both are class D amps, and both are 1 Ohm bridgeable. You will want to go with the amp that has the RMS power rating which best accommodates the RMS needed for your application.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @iggy1008 It's always good to disconnect the negative battery terminal when you're working with your vehicle. In the case where you're disconnecting and reconnecting speaker wires it shouldn't be an issue though.
    If you have a day to work on your vehicle, you might as well disconnect the negative terminal so there's no need to worry.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  11 лет назад

    Are you buying it for subwoofers or door speakers?

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @Reidwr3 Sorry for any confusion - we meant if you were to buy a 0 gauge amplifier kit and ever decide to upgrade, you'll be prepared for the upgrade. The ZX750.1 amplifier would work perfectly with a decent 4 gauge amplifier kit. You could also use 0 gauge if you prefer, but the 4 gauge will certainly suffice. Go with a brand like Kicker, Stinger, Tsunami, Streetwires, or Monster Cable for some of the best signal and power transfer you can get.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @Reidwr3 Two Kicker CVR subs will have a power handling of 800W RMS. Good 4 gauge amp kits can do 1000W RMS. It never hurts to have 0 gauge wiring in the event that you ever feel to upgrade the power handling, you will already have the correct gauge amp kit.However if you are looking to stay on a budget a solid 4 gauge wiring kit will be efficient enough. We recommend the Kicker CK4, Kicker DCK4, or the Stinger SHK641 for solid amplifier kits.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  14 лет назад

    @SykotheraP I'd say Kicker meets or exceeds both of those brands expectations. One thing you get with a Kicker amp - a birth sheet stating the actual RMS powering tested up leaving their facilities.
    They under-rate their products, giving you more power handling from their woofers and more overall power output from their amps. I highly recommend Kicker for their easy installation, and their high power output, and their extremely high durability.

    Anything is possible. You would definitely want to have your components hooked up to your 4-channel amp. They would sound a lot better.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @Lionel2572 If you have two Dual 4 ohm subs go with the Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D, wiring the subs to a final impedance of 1 ohm. If you have two Dual 2 ohm subs go with the Hifonics BRZ1700.1D, wiring the subs to a final impedance of 2 ohms. These amps are affordable and reliable.

    @t3n912 You can find the wiring guide through the following link:
    sonicelectronix[DOT]com/item_17665_Power-Acoustik-P3-15W.html
    As far as an amplifier, we would recommend the Hifonics Brutus brz1700.1.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  11 лет назад +1

    The subwoofers need their own amplifier, just a monoblock amp will do fine. As for the speakers, get a 4-channel amplifier for the front speakers and connect the mid-woofers to channel 1 and 2, then the tweeters to 3 and 4. You can turn the gain way down on the tweeter side so they don't blow. Then get a 4-channel amp for the rear door speakers and back speakers.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @bsl3216 Simply install a 12-volt switch in line with the remote lead wire from your amplifier. This way when you hit the switch your amplifier will turn of fas to not draw additional power. We carry switches if you're looking for one as well.

    I'm having a difficult time conceptulizing amp configurations with 7, 9, 12 or more speakers. How is that pulled off? Do you have a vid on this? If not, could you make one?

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @jaskil695 1700W RMS is going to be too much for those Type-R's. A great matchup would be the Hifonics BRZ1200.1. It's a little bit smaller, extremely powerful and push the Type-R's to their full RMS capacity. Which means - a ton of SPL!

    @SonicElectronixTV kicker comps can handle way more than kicker says. i ran a 10" kicker comp on a kicker 750.1

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  11 лет назад

    Yes, it most certainly will. Distortion is not as much of a factor at low levels but a good amplifier is always ideal.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @t3n912 You will need a 0 Gauge amp kit for this amplifier. Here is a link for an amp kit with everything included:

    It is best to have one monoblock amp powering two speakers. The speakers will wire together in a special configuration, depending on the speaker, which will make it work for monoblock amps.

    Can you do one on mono amps powering more than one sub and how the rms changes.

  • @FlowzTheRhythm

    So could one install multiple 2 channel amps? Like for instance those who completely redo their trunk with speakers and maybe 2 subs. How do they power all that? I know its multiple amps but is it best to go with multiple 2 channel amps or multiple 5 channel amps? This stuff is interesting

  • @carswnova

    okay question... a component setup for the front doors, two mid-woofers and tweeters on crossovers and two coaxial mid-woofers on the rear doors , then two 6x9 speakers at the back and 1 or two subs in the trunk, now how would i go about amplifying that? any ideas??

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @TNSxDYNASTYx An amplifier like the Pioneer GM-3400T is a perfect compact option that will push the subwoofers perfectly. Just run the amplifier bridged at 4 ohms for the 150W RMS at 4 ohms!

    I just ordered 2 kicker cvr 12's 2 ohm and a 750.1 amp. Should i buy a 0 gauge wiring kit? or what do i need?

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  14 лет назад

    @MarkyMarkEckstein You most likely have a factory amplified system if your vehicle came preloaded with 10 speakers. You most likely have tweeters counted with 10 speakers in your vehicle, so a 6-channel amplifier would most likely be able to work as a replacement if you're interested in aftermarket speaker options. You may have to research your vehicle to see what type of amplifier is being used. Give us a call to speak with a tech if you'd like some assistance. 1-877-289-7664

    With a Alpine MRP-F300 (4 channel amp) can I bridge to channels to power a subwoofer, and then use the other two channels for the front speakers?

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  11 лет назад

    Two Dual 4 ohm Champion subs wire down to a 1 ohm load at 2000W RMS. Any amplifier that outputs 2000W RMS at 1 ohm will work fine. The Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D should work fine.

    i have a 1600 ab amp & my 12inch subs wired at 2ohms both 400 rms A peace Should I bridge the amp on 4ohms or 2ohms or should I just wire them on there own channel

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @kendigjl Yes you certainly can. Use the front channels to power your front speakers, and bridge the rear channels to power your subwoofer. Be sure your impedance's are all matching and the power handling of each speaker matches with the amp.

  • @SonicElectronix

    @MrJdog1232 They will work as long as you ether connect them to your headunits harness speaker wires or with RCA's from the amp to your head unit or a line out converter.

    I have one 300rms 4ohm sub and want to use a 2channel amp bridged for 300rms at 4ohm. Is that ok or should I look for an amp with some headroom. I just want to add some bass to my car audio not wake the neighbors

  • @DuffmasterFresh
    @DuffmasterFresh 15 лет назад

    5-channel amplifiers are great if you need to save space and have a basic system with low wattage subwoofers and speakers. Of course if you need a lot of power you wouldn't get a 5-channel, you would get a monoblock for your subwoofers and a 4-channel for your speakers.

  • @SonicElectronix
    @SonicElectronix  13 лет назад

    @cowmilkify If your speakers are low enough on RMS (less than 40W) and your headunit has the outputs you can run 4 of them off the head unit and get a 5-channel amp for the other four speakers and two subs. Its kind of hard to suggest anything without really knowing what you have but that is a basic set up that would work just fine.

    why would a five channel amp be crap, you can buy however many watts you want for each channel..
    and why would someone buy separate amps for each sub and speaker? i think people should buy a diff amp if they have a diff speaker..but if you have two subs there is no reason to buy two amps, when you can get a high powered mono block amp and hook both up to that.
