I had a problem where my AirPods were connecting to my pc but it would not show up as one of my playback devices. It would show as paired under bluetooth but would not work. The second part fixed my problem, I appreciate you because I was struggling to connect this for an hour!

None of this worked for me , all it did was change my edited Air Pods name back to the default name "Air Pods" . My issue was that my Air Pods will read as connected , but my sound would still play out loud . ( Which was hella annoying by the way) The way that I SUCCESSFULLY FIXED MY ISSUE by Using my LAPTOP going to SETTINGS /SYSTEM/ SOUND , CLICK ARROW NEXT TO CHANGE OUTPUT DEVICE / CLICK HEADPHONES INSTEAD OF SPEAKER Then BOOM my sound played through my Air Pods !!!!!

@@highway3154 I I don’t know my pc is a fairly new only a 2-3 yrs old, I got hp to do a remote access and they couldn’t even fix it But when I’m using my other wireless headphone they work fine It’s the airpods that cuts out

Followed both steps, still says it's unable to connect (message shows that there was no response from the device). My Pods case shows a red light, then a green light, then nothing. It goes on for about 3 minutes and then off. Fully charged case also, and it does connect to mobile devices. Thoughts, recommendations?

This solution does NOT work for me. The Airpods disconnect after I startup a game and won't reconnect unless I close that game. It happens with every game or fullscreen application.
