With aquariums they add carbon into the filters to clean chemicals and debris out of the water because it’s so reactive i think but it is clever to use it for the fridge I’d have never thought of it either

I am actually acquainted with this family very well. Me and one of their sons are very good friends and he has turned out an amazing person. Was never keen on the Mum though. She strikes me as the type to put drink before anything else. My mum told me of a time we went to a party at their house and she could not wait to leave because it stunk so very badly
I worked as an auxiliary healthcare assistant before retraining as a teacher, and I can confirm I saw houses worse than this, and I mean WORSE. There was this woman whose house was so filthy, you could write your name in the carpet dust, and they hadn't bothered cleaning away the sh*t their cat left in a corner at least 5 years prior... I'm not even joking. I tried hoovering, but the bag was full, and they had no replacement. What made me even more sick was when her husband rinsed her faeces-stained underwear in the kitchen sink next to the plates. Disgusting.
They mention the use of Tea Tree oil a lot for mold. I prefer using peppermint oil. It's potent, and kills immediately. Mold hates the smell of it. It chokes on the vapor and dies. It's also great for pest control. I love the way it makes my home smell. It smells like a pack of Double Mint gum. Lol BTW: Please spray mixture in a well ventilated space.

My opinion might seem old fashioned but if you choose to stay at home while your partner goes to work it is your duty to keep a nice home .those poor children having to live like that .
It's not just the responsibility of the stay-at-home parent, the whole family should give a hand. My siblings and I were always given chores (Every morning I swept the house, my brothers would sweep the yard - albeit not on school days - and my sister did the washing up after every meal. On Saturdays we all did some proper spring-cleaning. A collaborative effort which paid off. If everyone does their share, no-one would suffer.
nothing old fashion about it, its respectful to me, its just divvying up work amongst a couple soneone can choose to keep house and be happy at ti. But its a sepearate matter where everyone in the family contributes caring for where they live, not leave everything for one person.

The husband was laughing, but he should has felt just as ashamed when the mold tests came back in! The wife did not clean and endangered her kid and that is on her, but the husband did the same thing. I'm not saying he should take responsibility for the whole house, but it probably took 5 minutes to wipe down the damn moldy windowsill, and that was doable for both of them. Take some personal responsibility both of you !
