to everyone playing, if you get the skill that gives you a bonus crate after you do a job you can just do quick gear box changes stack crates and get thousands of parts in a matter of minutes instead of spending hours buying and scraping parts
Crates also can give the scrap points themselves, I'm sitting at 20k scrap points (or whatever you call the blue currency) from just doing barn finds and opening crates, not scrapping parts at all just selling them.
Good chance it wasn't the Lamborghini, lol! I noticed two fuel tanks, and pumps. Them wham

That was funny. All this space... and they give you a shad. In Arizona. A small metal shed with poor ventilation. Honestly there should have been a scrapping bench in the workshop. So many stations that you don't need.
I do like the cozy wee shed out the back though. It's a nice change from the large open space. But yea, there'd better be some kind of aircon in there XD

You should give the gearbox 6 gears with the first gear shifting at somewhere between 35-45 mph then working down to the last gear at 220+ mph. You want to get it to where the car changes gears at redline and so that shifting doesn't drop the rpms too low like below 4000 rpm. Unfortunately the only way to do this is to tweak and then try it on the track which is a lot of back and forth. It's an involved process if you want to get some semblance of top speed potential.
I find it cheaper to buy a 2,000 or a 3,000 dollar car at the junk yard and completely strip it for parts rather than buying every part you scrap. It takes more time but you are also getting experience and that helps if you are a lower level
In gearbox tuning, by adding more gears you can have better performance. In this case you could add 2 more gears to achieve 6 gears and better performance.
Nice job on that engine, now we can answer the questions on the value of scrap improvements. When the car is done it should be colored red or black, Red if its a financial loss and black if its turns a profit lol. Also I watched yesterdays video of the monster 370Z before leaving for work. As I was walking through the parking lot, that exact car passed me, only difference was it was a convertible and a slightly different red color. So a real life Diesel mechanic exist in the world, rejoice!
I think that this Car Mechanic Simulator is absolutely fascinating. So much depth to this. And replayability too.

I was down to 132 Credits last night doing a full rebuild on an R34. Unlocked the engine shop so swapping the crank was easy, but I seriously thought I was going to have to start over.
Imagine having to pull the springs and valves out ans do a viable job on them and when you put the rockers back on you have to set them like in real life

Don't forget the lifters and all the bearings and the missing caps on the crank bearings for the cam shafts and the list just goes on on how simplified this simulator is.

also1 star parts and 2 star parts when u scrap them are worth more as a standard and big bonus keep an eye on the stars on scrap part
The more stars it has the more parts you get, you got a lvl 1 seat and the parts went up to 2,3,4 so it is like you said you wanted it diesel 😁

You can point to a part that you do not have, and click on the "x", and in the store through Tab, search for these products by clicking on them.

I always forget to buy certain things. Piston Rings and the Clutch Release Bearing are the most common culprits.

Best way to do this is to go to scrap auction and buy the 1 star v8s that have almost fully built engines u can get them for like 5k u take everything apart wash it weld it and clean interior sometims u make profit sometimes u lose 3k
I made a "Drug Dealers" 300C with a full 3 Star V8 OHV Supercharged Engine and Gear Box, that ended up making 1705HP on the Dyno. It did 351KPH on the test track before I ran out of gear ratio's and road 😁

Tried to do this a while ago. Three star-ing everything including stuff like rod cap and oil pan, halfway there realize all the upgrades are gone. Few days later patch 1.0.3 rolled out
2k+ scrap, few hours, and hundreds if not thousands scrapped hours down the drain, fml
I have close to 45K salvage, just from buying all parts in a barn and salvaging every part from cars I buy at auctions, junkyard and barns. I always put new parts on anyways, so it makes no difference to me to scrap parts. At one point I had 270+ pages of parts to salvage, I didn't care about the bonuses, took half an hour to rapid tap A to salvage them all.
Thank God we don't have to worry about bolts as parts
i did a tempest magnum with a V8 supercharged it costed 25k-30k scrap
the fact we need to scrap 10k-30k parts to do these kind of build
makes this the worst system ever

you dont actually, just box farm and get 100 - 400 scrap or more, not every box but enough of them that itll be a hell of a lot faster than individual part scrapping
@@boingboingerson1649 that only works if you got the perk unlucked and the scrap contaner should still be the main way to get scrap not box farming
@@shugo22 that only increases the odds, i ended up with like 8 crates before i realized it, plus every time you get a barn map you WILL get a crate, and most if not all junk yard trips yield a barn map

Regarding scrapping starred parts, I saw you scrap a 1 star seat and it gave 2 scrap for success, 3 scrap for bonus and 4 scrap for big bonus

The stars give more scrap 3 stars give six as a bonus 3 as a starter also barns are the best place for scrap as there is more star items there

Ah so this is what those salvage points do. Havemt unlocked the salvage shed yet and eas wondering what exactly those points were used for.
I've played the game long enough that I grew my funds to over 5M creadits. It doesn't hurt your wallet to grab stuff out of the junkyard or barns to get enough scrap to upgrade your performance parts all up to 3 stars, with that kind of funding. it doesn't help the performance to upgrade non performance parts. The few parts you grabbed that were repairable, I think you should have kept to use on other cars.

Upgrading parts is great option but only thing I hate is the breaking down parts to get scraps quantity is very low and grinding is tedious hope they increase the scraps u get in future

in the performance parts you cannot paint the fuel filter or some of there parts but stock you can
3 Star Tires and rims are gonna help a heck of a lot with traction and upgrading the rear end of the car too!
Can I offer a suggestion of doing the 3:73 mustang rear end final gear ratio as well to the dyno tune?
I wish I could offer you all the spare parts I have available for upgrades I have over 10K right now.
Just be glad not all of the actual engine parts are in this simulator don't forget there are more bearing caps than it uses for a crank and bolts plus hoses and wires as well as lifters that go against the cam shaft that the push rods set into. Fuel lines and so much more man! Don't forget breaking down the heads and valves and valve springs and keepers too plus all the bearings! LOL

I did that yesterday it broke me when it said I need over 100 to max out the gearbox 😂😂 edit: I commented this when I first started the video but I noticed you did the mustang and it’s funny I put the engine in the exact same car 😂😂
It’s easier to go ahead and 3 star the rod caps and the other caps and like the push rods but then I’ll go and build the whole engine, dump everything out my pockets and scrap what I need to then I’ll go ahead and pull it apart and 3 star all that stuff
I'm going to say I'm not a fan of the salvage system in this game I personally think the values need to be somewhere around I think somewhere from 1 to 10 but no higher than 10
And I've had some more ideas for DLC I think a diesel DLC for like the big diesel semis you see all over the place would really be cool

Your gears are set too close, try setting them farther apart to stop the spinning out on the speed track and smoother gear shifting

If you go that route fix scrap you can sell to get money or build random car and sell it to profit off that with all the lower condition parts you can fix scrap it rather then selling for couple dollars. I do anything under $10 to $15 parts scrap it and only performance parts. The cars i do keep i will go back and upgrade the parts after gathering a ton of upgrade points
Diesel, if you scrap parts that already have stars, you get more scrap
yeah i finsihed mine lyesterday video is gonna be out soon but i also made it a solid beast that breaks the speedo takes about 18000 parts to an entire car.. i spent an additional 45 grand on all the junk in all the piles from 4 separate junkyard visits.
So iv noticed no point in 3 staring non performance parts. It's literally does nothing to value. Tested value with same parts as 3 and 0 stars

AFAIK, only the performance parts make sense to upgrade, the rest gives u no extra performance just value if u upgrade them...

In real life these cars would never run because so much is missing but one major part is missing for the car to run
Why not just mass buy items on the regular "store" that cost 5 creds, they give 2-3 scrap depending on your skills, and its the cheapest source of scrap (things like valve rod)
You can't scrap stuff that has 100% durability, I'm assuming this was done on purpose to avoid exactly what you suggest

Befor you sell the car buy a second one make it the same but with no star upgrades to see how much more you make and if it is worth the trouble
